I'm a believer!

I have tried many different types of air cleaners, including the well-known HEPA filters, and I have found Biozone to be far and away the most effective. I cant say I know all about the science behind it, but the Biozone unit slowly releases ozone into the air, and this ozone then collides and interacts with dust and dirt particles in the air, releasing fresh oxygen, while dirt and dust slowly fall to the floor. It works on the same principle of the fresh air after a Spring shower. And Biozone units have a very quiet operation. It's important to get the right size unit for the space you intend to keep fresh, place the unit in a corner where it won't get knocked over, but where air can circulate behind it, and then the unit can be left alone for up to a year before the internal bulb needs changing. In comparison, cleaners using HEPA filters are noisy, and the filters get soiled fast, needing frequent replacement. I smoke cigarettes, and even my friends who don't care for cigarette smoke comment that my apartment smells fresh when I'm running the Biozone air cleaner. Overall, Biozone is less expensive and more effective than any other popular methods.

Not a toy - does some serious air cleaning

We've had the biozone 2000 for a couple of days, and it is a completely different animal than the two Whispure HEPA air purifiers in our home. It does not filter that air, but rather it appears to fundamentally affect its composition. As soon as you turn it on (it's runs almost totally silent), your nose will pick up a faint smell of ozone. And VERY fresh air coming from the vents. It's a powerful little machine: we put it in the room where the litterbox for our cats are, and it wiped out all smell in about 15 minutes. Even on its lowest speed, you can feel its effect all over our 1500 sq ft. house. The only downside is that it does leave a faint ozone trace in the air, and at high speeds a metallic odor. So, we run it on its lowest speed. But I highly recommend the biozone - it's no toy, but a serious air cleaner. Great for a pet room or any other space that has odor. But don't buy one that is too large - it can far exceed your needs. If you have 500 sq feet of need, buy the Biozone 500, not the 1000 or 2000. Our unit may be overkill for our house. But boy, does it work!

Helps, but smells

It does appear to have a positive impact on air quality, but since it does use a mild amount of ozone, people in the house have complained about odor when they walk past it.

Changed our lives!

This machine effectively removes the vague set-in puke aroma of 16 years of kids and pets, along with the not-so-vague sports gear and nerd-smell of various teen-age humans in the house. Cooking odors? Eliminated! Waste bins reek? You'll only notice when the trash rises above the rim! Litter box ammonia smell? No more! We honestly were considering getting rid of all the nasty critters in this house because no matter how much I cleaned, I could still smell *it* whenever I walked in the door. This little machine is effective, low-profile, and helps us all continue to live together in one house. :) We use it generally in our open floor plan house, but did move it to specific rooms for air purification when we first got it. It works. It smells clean. Money well-spent as far as this busy household is concerned.

This TV has an awesome HD picture!

I bought this TV when it first was available in 2002. I think it was the first 1080i TV that Sony made. Being a CRT, it has amazing contrast and clarity. It's got something that the new LCD and Plasma TV's just don't have. The video is crystal clear and the contrast is excellent. Discovery HD channel looks especially good!The only problems I have with this set are the weight and the screen size. It's very heavy and you have to be at least five-feet from the screen to discern the full 1080 resolution. The screen size is actually 32" and that might be a bit small for some people.
