Great selection

This thread collection is a great way to get started in machine embroidery. I had all the colors I needed to stitch downloaded designs. Not all of Madeira's colors are in there, and they don't match perfectly some of the suggested colors, but there are plenty to make substitutions. I like the thread card. This also comes with a nice seam ripper and a pair of snips. The DVD's contain several hundred embroidery designs. Some of them are not of interest to me (muscle cars) but there are others that are very nice (realistic butterflies and birds, and some kitchen items). I'm very happy with this purchase and this price.

Great Value!

The Madeira Thread Treasure Chest is a great value! Madeira is quality thread. This is also available in Polyester at an increased cost. You will love having the full complement of thread colors, including varigated and metallic. Storage chest is great - there is a spot for every thread color. Included is a color card, too. This shows actual thread samples for every thread available in the chest.

Just got it and love it!

Just received my "treasure chest" yesterday and just love it. I have ordered other thread packages, but you can't beat Madeira quality. This package has a wonderful selection of colors, plus the extra products are a nice bonus. I haven't had a chance to see what embroidery designs are included, but will be busy this weekend testing everything out. The teak chest is an elegant addition to my usual plastic storage solution. Thread charts are another great bonus!

Great Performance. Easy to use!

The iFire works great for connecting Apple Pro Speakers to my new G5 Power Mac and older G4 Power Mac.I was taken back at first by how small the unit was. But that's actually a plus - it's so small it barely takes up any room at all. Extremely easy to set up and use.The Pro Speakers sound far better than I expected for a single-speaker system. Maybe not quite as good as a system with separate sub-woofer, mid-range and tweeters, but fairly impressive for their size.Only two minor criticisms:1. The iFire uses 2 separate cables (a 1/8 mini male-2-male and a firewire cable) that are clipped together with 3 or 4 clips. I guess this allows for certain flexiblity depending on how your configuring the system, but the double cables could add to the tangle of wires already coming off your CPU.2. Many new iPods are shipping only with USB wall charger units, not firewire. So to hook it up to a new iPod, you'll need to connect the power cord (firewire) to your computer, or purchase a separate firewire iPod wall charger.Overall, the Griffin iFire is a great product! Definitely recommend!

The iFire allows you to use the popular Apple Pro speakers with iBooks, iPods, and lots others.

Simple to use. There's no manual or instructions needed. Just plug it in.

It does the job nicely. I can use the Apple Pro speakers with my iBook. And the iFire --with its simple, white deign-- fits in nicely with the iBook and speakers.

Moving to 3rd World, Buy one

I was leaving the country to live in Africa for a couple years and bought several of these for our computers and electronic equipment. Has worked perfectly. No need to worry about the computer and Internet going down every time there is a power outage. Power outages happen here at least 3-4 times a day. Fortunately, there is a back-up generator, but there is nothing more frustrating than the computer rebooting every time the power goes off and comes on. It has been a life saver.One gripe is that the sensor on battery level does not seem to work, putting the computer in hibernate during short power outages. Since all the power outages here are 2-3 minutes before someone turns on the generator, I just disconnected the cord between the computer and the UPS. Problem solved.
