This is exactly what I need to help my 90 year old dad in and out of my SUV. It's wide, steady, sturdy and non-slip, didn't need any assembly whatsoever. It's a little on the heavy side, but that's okay, because I wanted it to be secure on any surface and it is. Lays flat in my trunk when not in use. Great product.
