Awesome

This case is awesome. I bought it for my boyfriend who is a professional chef, it is a great size and the magnets hold the knives perfectly. This is the perfect case for someone who likes to buy different brands and sizes in knives. Also, it's nice that it comes with 2 keys in case one is lost.

Wusthof trident knife block

This block is beautiful and I am happy with it. The only problem is that it is not very versatile. You are limited to an 8 inch chef's knife and a thin 8 or 9 inch knife on top (I have the chef's knife and a 9" carving knife). Two thin 6 or 8 inch knifes in the middle (I have a 6" carving knife and an 8" bread knife). On the bottom, only two small knifes no bigger than 5 inches will fit (I have a 3 1/2" paring and a 5" serrated utility). I would have liked to have put a 6" boning knife in bottom row instead of the utility knife but it would not fit due to its thick bolster and the block's narrow slots.

Easy to Install, Looks Great

I did a lot of research on knife magnets and this one seemed to get the highest user reviews overall. I can't say anything negative about it. It looks great, keeps my tiny kitchen counter less cluttered and hasn't ruined any of my knives (many magnets are rumored to be 'too strong' and users complain that they bend and break knives).
