5My camaro never sounded better
By David
This muffler IS dual-outlet which means a stock 99 camaro like mine needs some pipework before this flowmaster can go in but once it was installed the sound was day and night; lots of people in my town have flowmasters but there is nothing quite like having one in your own car. I highly recommend this one if you have a car like mine and want a nice roar from your exhaust.

5Great Throaty Gurgle!
By P. McCarthy
Installed on a Nissan Murano. Since the inlets and outlets are in the same relative position, it was a quick, inexpensive swap ($125 installation fee from a local muffler shop). The original muffler from the manufacturer made the engine sound empty and gutless. This muffler is much smaller than the OE trash can, so it better hides under the bumper. This muffler is more free-flowing with less sound dampening. This muffler mated with a strong V6 sounds great! It's nothing like a Civic trying to sound like a stock car. It's a more tuned sound rather than an unrestricted loud.On startup, it growls to life. At idle, it has an audible but subtle gurgle. At normal acceleration, it has a nice, deep tone, but nothing loud or offensive. To catch eyes though, punch the throttle and it will bark!Fyi, this muffler used to come stock on the V6 Camero. If you youtube "Murano Flowmaster" you can hear the results. For under a hundred bucks, this is a great upgrade.UPDATE: I've had it for 3 years now and it's holding up well. There is rust on the welds but nothing has rusted through. I realize I should have coated the muffler with black, high-temperature paint to protect the welds from the harsh DC weather.

5Great space heater for garage
By Consultant
Bought this to heat up my garage when I need to do a project in the winter (I'm in the Northeast). Amazon had the best price - prompt delivery. It does a good job(my garage is about 400 sq-ft), uses a standard 20# propane tank . Nice and compact for storage when you're not using it.

5It's great for the price
By tozairport
It's a bit loud and I wish there was a setting to control the amount of heat (it's either full on or off) but for the money it can't be beat. I have a 2 car garage shop and it will make the room warm within about 20 minutes.

5PERFECT - I have no complaints
By TheOldCoot
The heater arrived in picture-perfect condition two days after I ordered it. Within five minutes, after UPS left, I had it set up and making heat. It has worked flawlessly for several days now. Starts right up every time and heats up my two-car garage in about twenty minutes. Yes, it is a little noisy, but that is characteristic of these types of heaters.I highly recommend this heater. For the price, you can't beat it...

5Flowmaster 42543 40 Series Delta Flow
By David Taylor
These mufflers are exactly what you expect from flowmaster, they sound great when you want them to and are much quieter at cruising speed than the original 40 series. I bought these for my 2003 Mustang GT and they were almost a perfect fit, a little shorter than the stock muffler and the in/out are 1/4" larger than stock but that matches up great with an aftermarket x-pipe and tailpipes. They also shipped very fast, arriving in less than 48 hours with the free shipping. I can't speak for many other models but if you put these mufflers on a 4.6 mustang you will not be disappointed.

4loud
By Joe M.
The 40 series is one of the louder models flowmaster makes. Wouldnt recommend on small engines. I put this on a dodge ram 3.7 v6 and it sounds good at idle but its loud.you can hear it from inside my house. On small engine, has a lot of drown inside the cab and gets annoying. But thats my preference of how much sound i like. Sounds good while crusing but when it hits 2500 rpm, thats when the most drown hits. It eventually goes away while highway driving, higher gears kick in and sound goes down. Didnt notice much on mpg. And once you break it in, itll get a little louder. Hope this helpedReccomend on big engines( v8, big blocks, etc)If you like it loud, here you go!

5Excellent
By S. Kim
I am a home mechanic, use this heater for working on cars during winter time. This smaller heater can heat up 3 car garage in about 10 minutes. It is not as loud as 75K BTU model. so I can work on car during nights. My only complain is that the unit does not come with thermostat.

4Good heater...
By M.G. Marsh
Got this last winter for a 1200 sq ft garage. First one delivered leaked but Amazon.com immediately shipped a new one and took the first one back...best customer service I've ever had! Raises the temperature of my garage 10 degrees in ten minutes. Only regret I have is not spending the extra $$$ for a little more powerful one for really cold days, and one with a thermostat to turn up and down rather than plug and unplug the unit. So far so good.

5Good Heater
By S. Morris
I've only run this heater to test it but it puts out a helluva lot of heat very fast with no kerosene fumes smell. The price I got from my vendor was fantastic, everyone else has it listed much higher. Later I ordered the remote cord thermostat but haven't gotten it yet. It should prove to be a good emergency heat source as well as general purpose cold weather heater for working outside. It should work well to thaw frozen pipes also.

4works fine except for startup
By Mike Garrison
After using one of the little Mr. Heater "Buddy" heaters, I expected this to be the same only larger. It's not.Unlike the "Buddy", this does not have any way to regulate the heat except "on" or "off". Also, it doesn't have a pilot light. Instead, you just hold in a springloaded valve and let gas come out into the heater. There is a piezo sparker that is supposed to light it up, but I have not found it to work very well. However, using a match works OK, and a lighter-on-a-stick (for BBQs and fireplaces, etc.) would work even better. But once it is lit, it really works quite well. Radiant heaters don't heat the air directly, so the heat tends to be fairly even by the time the surrounding objects start heating the air. This does take some time, though, depending on the size of the space you are heating. Also, unlike the "Buddy", this requires ventilation, both at the ceiling and at the floor.Shutoff is done just by shutting off the valve on the propane tank. There is a safety switch, however, which prevents the heater from continuing to pump the place full of propane if the flame goes out. This is really more suited to a sheltered environment, like an unfinished garage or a carport, but not an indoor environment (like a house). I have used it in my garage. It's fairly quiet in operation, though it does moan during startup. It runs off of a regular BBQ-sized propane tank (or bigger). According to the manual, it will not work properly running from a smaller tank.

1Product different than pictured
By Trevor Courtney
I ordered the Mr. Heater MH35LP, but received a slightly different product. The box is labeled Heatstar by Enerco with a part number of HS35LP. It is missing the wheels and upper handle as pictured by Amazon. There is a small sticker placed over the Heatstar label that says MH35LP, but it's clearly a different product and there is no reference to the Mr. Heater brand on the product or documentation.I suspect that the Mr. Heater and the Heatstar brand are manufactured by the same company and may be equally good products. However, I don't support Amazon sending an alternative product without my consent. It's false advertising to say the least. And for those that might be ok without the wheels and the handle, consider that the one I received didn't include the hardware required to install the stand that holds it upright. I can't even use this one.

I bought a pair of Flowmasters 42443 I/O mufflers for my 2003 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, and let me tell ya it's freakin awesome! It totally gave my car a meaner, louder, more aggressive sound. I recommend this to any mustang enthusiast looking for the same. The price was also unbeatable compared to the $250 price tag at local muffler shops.

5Nice upgrade from stock mufflers.
By MrWhistles
I bought a pair of these for my 2001 Mustang GT. I wanted to wake my Mustang up a bit but not go crazy. Don't be fooled by the videos on youtube that make these sounds quiet and raspy, these mufflers sound amazing welded in to the stock exhaust system. These are the same length as the stock mufflers with the correct offset/diameter outlets.

5Amazing for any car!
By B. Wright
I installed this on my 1996 Honda Accord LX, It has the perfect tone. It has a nice deep tone, whenever I step on the gas the floor shakes. I love it! It's not a fart can, not a hair dryer. PERFECT tone. Great build quality as well, and I've noticed a slight performance gain, as well as a gas mileage increase. I had a stock muffler with a rust hole in it, so this is a huge upgrade! Highly recommend!

2First heater malfunctioned, good cust service, replaced for free.
By Mark in Montana
Updated 3/19/11Received a brand new hearter today! No cost for shipping either to or from the company. Based on the excellent customer service I am increasing the rating up to 4 stars. As I originally reported, the heater works very well at heating my garage.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Updated 3/5/11Contacted Mr. Heater and they had me box up the heater and they had FedEx pick it up at their expense. They say they will send a replacement once they have looked at the returned item.Updated 2/26/11I had been very pleased with this heater UNTIL today. I have used the heater several times during the past 2 months. Today I warmed up the garage and worked during the morning then shut down the heater and ran some errands. I started the heater this afternoon and after about about 10 minutes I looked over at the heater and there were FLAMES coming out from all sides and the main burner valve knob was on fire. I ran to the propane tank and got everything shut down - Thank goodness I was watching, the rubber propane hose could have easily melted and I would have had a wreck. It appears there was a malfunction on the burner valve that allowed gas to escape and ignite. Now 1 month past Amazon Return time I have to deal with manufacturer warranty. So now I have to mail it in, at my expense, and wait to see if they will stand behind the product. In the mean time I have no heat in the garage.__________________________________________________________________________________________I have only had this heater two days. That said, I took it home yesterday attached the propane (that was essentially all there was to set-up) and fired it up on low and it put out a pleasant heat. This morning the temperature was about 6 below zero and I turned the heater on and set it on high. I let it run for about 15 minutes and the garage had warmed up significantly, it was at least 40-50 degrees and possibly warmer. I didn't check the thermometer (digital one in my car) until after I left the garage. But as I was driving my car away from the garage I noticed the temperature was rapidly counting down - at that point it was already down to 20 degrees - and continued down to the outside temperature of 6 below. My garage is detached 30' X 30' with 14' high ceiling, so it was heating over 12,000 cubic feet. This is a replacement space heater. The previous one was a Mr. Heater Portable Propane Forced Air Heater (jet heater). I was a bit worried with the fact that the new one was convection but that concern was unfounded. It actually heats the area much faster. The convection heater does not seem to put off nearly as much smell as the forced air heater, in fact it was essentially odorless. Although with this first test I did not use a fan to circulate the warm air, I am sure that will improve it's already impressive performance. Unlike the forced air heater, this one does not require an electrical connection to operate so all you have to do is supply the gas and turn it on. One possible drawback would be that I was able to use the forced air heater to thaw frozen pipes since you can direct the heat, and the convection heater won't work for that.It does make noise as it burns the propane. If you have a weed burner, or a branding stove, that is what it sounds like. The volume increases at higher settings. It was a little quieter than the forced air heater though.

530-80K Portable Propane Convection Heater
By R. Dowd
I use the Mr. Heater 30-80K convection heater in my garage, which is roughly 625 SF with high 14 ft. ceilings, CMU block wall, un-insulated ceiling. During winter months of the teens outside, I can bring the inside temp of my garage up to 70 degrees within a short time. However, you may need to hang a box fan up near the ceiling or install a ceiling fan to circulate the heat back down, it puts out a strong trickle of heat in a 360 degree radius that is easy to regulate to keep from alternating between freezing and roasting. The biggest plus for me with this unit it the lack of objectionable fumes as are produced by forced air kerosene heaters, the propane burns clean and is easy to purchase at my local filling station, no spills or lugging around 5 gallon containers of kerosene. If massive amounts of heat are what you want, you should consider the forced air propane heater made by Mr. Heater. They put out massive quantities of heat in short order.I get about 15 hours of use per 25 pound propane tank, the same type my BBQ runs on, by turning this unit on high and then shutting it down to low, alternating this cycle. You can use upwards of a 100 pound propane tank. The unit is much smaller then I expected which is a plus, it is light and very well made and simple to use.

2Is this safe? I'm not taking chances...
By 1.4.the.team
First let me say I've had good experience with other Mr Heater products. I own the buddy and big buddy heaters, and I love them and have NEVER had a problem with them (with exception to the brittle plastics). With that said, I am torn on this product. I had high expectations based on reviews I've read, product literature, features, specs and prior Mr Heater experience. Why I bought it:Emergency preparedness. To heat our home in the event of a power failure during the snow storms that have been sweeping the country. I bought this because its efficient, affordable, portable, easy to use, clean heat. I bought this because our kerosene heater is WAY too expensive to operate, because Kerosene is harder to find, and because Kerosene is a dirty heat. Propane is cheap, available every where, stable, long lasting (shelf life), and very efficient. I bought it because it puts out an incredible amount of BTUs.What went wrong:I read the manual before using it. After reading the setup and operating instructions, it explains in detail conditions of unsafe operation. It states that the flame inside should be mostly blue with very little yellow. It states there should be NO FLAMES exiting the unit. It states that if any of these conditions are experienced, to shut off the gas supply and heater, and call a service center immediately. When I turned on the unit, I immediately got an intense jet-like after-burner of a flame that was about 1" of blue and 8" of yellow. The flame reached the top of the unit and began to bow and bubble the top metal piece. The flame was so intense and strong that it began to wick out of the unit and above it. Uh-oh. I was really freaked out. Like fearing for my life and home freaked out.So I did as the manual stated. And 3 days later I was able to speak with a 'human' (I use that term loosely). The first two days I called (during hours), I sat on hold for 45 minutes. Then I gave up. I mean really, 45 minutes?? Whats wrong with this place? Do they have THAT many support calls? Is there anyone home? Can they not afford to pay enough agents to take calls? What happened to this company? So on day 2 I chose the option to get a call back. It took 6 attempts before this option work, before the system assured me I would be called back when my turn came up. No call back.I called the 3rd day, went through the same experience. Hold for 45 minutes, multiple attempts at getting the call-back system to work. No call back after hours of waiting. So I called back and chose sales. Someone in sales answered fairly quickly (so they like to sell but can't support??), I explained the problem I was having with their phone system, and she said she would transfer me back into the queue at highest priority and I would be the next call answered. 45 minutes later I hung up.Fast forward - eventually someone called me. However, it was like talking to a wall. Or zombie. In fact, I'd rather talk to my dog. At least he smiles at me. This guy sounded like he was asleep. He did not laugh. I was overly cheery and happy to talk to him. I think he hated his job. Or was at a funeral. I'm sorry, he was just so lifeless. I felt like he HATED me for calling.Long story short, the agent told me he "didn't know why the manual says that, it sounds like its operating fine". I said what about the yellow flame, its suppose to be blue? I said what about the warping metal top? I said what about the flames coming out of it? His answer: "that sounds normal".So I called Amazon, explained the problem with the product, the company, and my fears; and Amazon happily sent me a second unit to try out within 2 days (my choice). The second unit had the same problem. I call it a problem because the manual does. In the end Amazons excellent Customer Service took care of me, and took both of the units back at their expense. I will be looking for a new propane heater.I hope you have better luck then me; but honestly I cannot recommend this unit to anyone because I would hate to see someone injured in the process; or loose their home and valuables. Its just not worth the risk, and the manufacturer just couldn't come trough. I personally value my home, my life, my family, and my children more than this - this unit just isn't worth the risk.Report card:Amazon - A++ (Amazon is truly amazing)Manufacturer - F (Fix your phones, your people, your products, your manuals)Product - F (This thing will hurt someone)Manufacturer Support Agent - F (Wake up, find a job you enjoy, and learn how to be a human being with a heart, a mind, and a smile)Yikes, I know. Trust me, I'm feeling the same way.[Please Vote!]I hope this review gives you some insight and help with your choice, and a little knowledge from an unbiased owner. 4Lots of heat, and noise
By Mike Ellis
This is a great heat generator, and sounds like a jet when running full blast. I love it, but when I use it on the covered patio of a party people think it is too loud. For working around it is good, but for a party situtation I wish I had found one of the short unbrella style heaters instead, the radiat the heat down better and are not loud.

5A+
By M. Davis
Easy installation, looks great on my Dakota. Not convinced that it saves gas, but that isn't the manufacturer 's fault.
