biggest reliable bang for the buck

Why Grizzley instead of JET? My choice was based on other reviewed air filtration systems. cost of replacement filters and support. All make Grizzly my number one choice given my budget considerations.Yes it is made in China, and what isn't now. Whenever I get to play furniture builder with the pros I will buy the very expensive stuff.Delived promptly, even when I was told there was a delay and I was ok with the delay, because service let me know so I could plan. Packaging was undamaged...see other reviews.Service is first rate! ...see other reviews.Works efficiently in filtering my dusty shop at low speed. As mentioned noisy when reved up. I would rather it had a lower profile, but it is able to sit high in the rafters of my shop.Oh yeah, did I mention filter cost comparison?

G9956 Air Filter Review

The product is being used to cut down on the amount of dust that is collecting on my cars in my garage. And with the exception of being loud it is doing a very good job. I ust to have to wipe down my cars every other day, and since I purchased the G9956 I have only had to do it once in 3 weeks.

Larger than most shop filters

The Grizzly Heavy Duty Double Air Filter Model G9956 is an effective filter that quickly cleans the air in my 24 X 36 foot shop. The remote works reliably everywhere I've used it in the building and offers five fan speeds to choose from. I bought this air cleaner because it is a larger height unit (16" vs 12") which enables a larger filter than most on the market.I deviated from the instructions, which call for hanging the unit from chains, slightly by bolting the top of the filter case to a larger outside-dimensioned piece of 3/4" thick plywood and then lag-bolting the plywood to the ceiling. If you try this, be aware that one can make good use of European style furniture assembly machine-threaded screws which have very flat heads and use an internal hex cavity to accept an Allen wrench. The flat side fits nearly flush to the top of the plywood and the bolt extends through four holes, that you drill,into the four threaded holes in the top of the Grizzly filter. This approach enables the plywood sheet to snug up flush to the ceiling. A standard bolt head would require added clearance spacing.The unit is slightly noisy, but quite tolerable. I usually use ear muffs when operating woodworking machinery, so the sound is acceptable. On checking, I found replacement primary filters of the correct size are available at several local stores. This is an excellent product that might save your lungs.
