Happy with the sub for the price

I'm happy with the purchase. It adds a lot to the lower end and my wife says she can hear it on the second floor (it's in a 700 sq. foot basement). It's got good adjustments (volume, phase)and an auto-on switch so you don't need to touch it once it's setup. I used the THX optimizer from my Toy Story DVD to adjust the volume and am very satisfied.One concern is that there is a minor buzz, but this goes away when I disconnect the cable from my Sony DB830 receiver so I'm not going to blame the sub for that. You can't turn this *all* the way up as it becomes muddy (a little distorted) but it's more than enough for a Home Theater system. I have it set at about 50% volume and it's perfect.

unit fried and no customer support

Bought the unit 25 months ago at a good price and have been satisfied with the sound quality. Just one month after the warranty expired the unit began smoking and fried. Luckily I was home before a fire started, but the power swith didn't cut it off, had to pull the plug. E-Mailed the manufacturer to see if there was a known defect in the amp or if there was a recall but have gotten no response. As I said, unit was cheap for the sound it put out, but is it worth burning down your house?

Galco Combat Master

This is typcal Galco high quality holster.I originally purchased the holster for my Sig MK 25. After some working/breaking in the big Sig fits comfortably and securely. Be advised however if you plan to attach a light or laser combo you probably should look for a larger holster. Also this makes an excellent 1911 carry holster regardless of make and barrel length. I carry a large frame auto every day and this holster is comfortable,reasonably secure and has shaped itself nicely to my profile. A great value for the money.

Delivered on time. Usual Galco quality except that the molding is done on the P220 version that does not have the Pic rail. Thus, I had to soak the holster and shape it with pistol left in it overnight. Pistol in a bread bag, of corse.

Very strong and roomy case

I order this case for my lighting equipments - 3 strobes, 3 stands, power cords, video triggers, battery, extension cords, etc. They can all fitted in and still have room for other items. The case is bigger and heavier than I thought but it is very strong,and well build. I am very happy with the design and the functionality but I am not sure if I can handle to put this case in and out the car by myself.

feels like it's not even there

Comfortable, lightweight, holds the gun securely, and conceals perfectly, all the things required of a holster. I would highly recommend this one for a snubbie revolver. Get the one without the retention strap if you have aftermarket grips that are bigger than stock. That's what I have and it holds the gun very securely with just the retention screw and makes for a quicker draw.

I purchased this holster for my S&W model 64, 3in barrel. I have no problem with concealing the gun at the 3 o'clock position. You will need a good stiff belt, as with all holsters, to acchieve close carry. Very pleased with the product.

Best 28mm Lens For Rangefinder Cameras Currently Available, But.....

This is without question one of my favorite Leica M mount rangefinder camera lenses, and definitely among Leica's finest. The Leica 28mm f2 Summicron-M Aspherical wide angle lens is the best fast 28mm lens that's currently available, capable of making excellent images in both low light and bright light conditions. The 28mm lens has especially become a favorite one for fine art "street" documentary photography (Some recent examples of mine can be seen at www.tamarkin.com/gallery.htm, which are images from two New York City demonstrations held last year.) but it is also suitable for a wide array of applications ranging from architectural to landscape photography. It is definitely tack sharp wide open at f2, and its optical performance only improves slightly from f2.8 onwards. However, is it truly worth its extravagant price now that Leica has issued for approximately half price, a f2.8 Elmarit-ASPH lens that is more compact than this one, and performs nearly as well (A better bargain might be had too by purchasing instead the Zeiss ZM 28mm f 2.8 Biogon which currently sells for approximately one-third the price for the 28mm f2 Summicron.)? That's truly a difficult question to answer, and one which only you, the potential user, can answer well. Clearly if price is no object, then this superb lens is definitely worth acquiring.

Great Holster for the PPK

This is one of my favorite carry pistols and my favorite concealed carry holsters. Holds firm and given the size of the PPK is very comfortable to drive with. Unless you prefer IWB carry at 1 or 2 o'clock with this pistol. The SOB for the PPK is great.

Does what it is made to do

Good filter that fits nicely on my Canon 17-40 wide angle. Only downside is that, being a slim fit, doesn't allow for the Canon lens cap to fit on the lens any more--B+W does include a rubber lens cap that fits on to replace the canon one, but it doesn't fit quite as securely. Guess that's just the price to pay.

Outstanding Produce

Like a lot of other photographers, I consider a polarizing filter to be really valuable for outdoor photography, especially landscape work. My 24-70mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar, on a Sony A900 (full frame), will vignette at the widest angle with any polarizer but this slim profile design B+W. Such vignetting is more bothersome than fatal, but sometimes I have to use the photograph right up to the corner edges and vignetting there creates a lot more work in Photoshop. The B+W , slim line, 77MM Circular Polarizer does NOT vignette.

Thin Polarizing Filter

I think a polarizing filter is a must for outdoor photography. Polarizers add a punch, especially clouds and sky, that cannot be duplicated, even with the magic of Photoshop.It is a must if you are shooting water in the sun, often lets you see below the surface of streams and shallow ponds.This particular filter is built thin enabling it to be used with a wide angle lens without vignetting. I have used it with a 10-20 mm lens with excellent results.Always use filters whose quality matches your lens - this filter is excellent and will suit the very best lenses.

Comfortable, Concealable, Practical

I carry Kimber M-1911 .45s in 4" Commander style or 5" classic styles in with stainless steel or aluminum frames in Galco Royal Guardsman holsters. I carry these every day. What I want from a holster is one that will be comfortable to carry in any position that I find myself whether standing, seated, bent over, kneeling, or even crawling. This is a holster that I barely notice regardless of which of my pistols I'm carrying. Unlike many holsters I've owned. The rough out horse hide helps to keep the holster from riding up during a draw. This IWB holster is easily concealed under almost anything that will cover the butt of the pistol. it is easy and quick to draw from and the spring steel piece at the mouth of the holster makes it easy to re-holster as well. The holster fits my Kimbers and their predecessor M-1911s precisely and snugly (perhaps a little too snugly at first) aiding in retention even when hanging upside down by my legs. My oldest of these is now ten years old and worn smooth on the side that fits against my body. Of all of my concealed carry holsters this is easily my favorite even over similar Milt Sparks and Mitch Rosen designs and definitely my favorite of the entire Galco line.

After 10 years of daily use, I have nothing but praise for the Royal Guard

I have worn this holster almost every day for the past ten years to carry a Government model 1911. After 10 years of daily use the holster shows virtually no wear. The natural horsehide is of course quite a bit darker now from daily use but that is it. I have a drawer full of other holsters that I tried before getting the Royal Guard. These other holsters are never used (with the exception of a Fobus C-21 that gets used on very hot days). The Royal Guard is absolutely the best when it comes to holding the firearm securely in the holster and close to the body. If proper attire is worn, the Royal Guard will not allow the pistol to print through your clothing. The holster stays put, it will not shift when transitioning from a vehicle or seated position. Very recently I purchased another Galco Product, the Kingtuk because I succumbed to the hyperbole expended upon that holster's "tuckability." My Kingtuk has already been relegated to the drawer of forgotten holsters and the Royal Guard is back where it has been for the last ten years, and where it belongs... By my side.
