4Needs better instructions
By Gary
I have used this compressor for a few days now with a coil framing nailer and it works fine, has plenty of capacity for one gun, and is relatively quiet.I would give it 5 stars except that packaging is poor and instructions for initial set-up are also poor. The compressor ships in its original retail box, not double boxed, and mine was torn open and then re-taped. The box says an oil bottle is included and there is space for it in the box, but in fact Senco is shipping with oil in the compressor and no oil bottle (I found this confusing as it looks like the oil bottle was stolen or missing). The air filter comes unattached and you have to figure out where to attach it on your own (a little sketch would be helpful for the spatially challenged). The air inlet has a plastic plug inserted so don't start your compressor before finding and removing the plug and attaching the air filter. Finally, if you do happen to have a major problem such as a dead compressor, Amazon will not accept a return ("too dangerous") and will simply refer you to the distributor. These may be nit-picky points, but I thought I would throw them out there to possibly help some one else considering this compressor.

5Great general use compressor
By Robert A. Hopkins
The PC1131 has a 4.3 gallon double hotdog tank system. It has easy to read primary and secondary gauges and a switch that can be reached quickly but does not interfere with operation when moving the hose around. The compressor has a well positioned oil fill port, for spalsh lubrication. It's relatively quiet (though there is no such thing as a quiet compressor. I have used the Senco with brad, stapler and finishing nail guns as well as a framing nailer to drive both 2" and 3-1/2" framing nails. The recycle of the tank pressure (which I set @ 110psi) easily operates any of these tools without a need to wait for the pressure to build. The only issue would be using the compressor form spray guns, where a constant (uniterrupted airflow is a critical requirement of airguns). Other than that, I would strong recommend this Senco for everyday, portable use, especially for the DIY homeowner.

4Works fine, but......
By Edward M. Lawson
Bottom line is that this compressor works well enough, but has a few design flaws.I originally wanted a Makita MAC700, but when I was making my Amazon wishlist, it was out of stock. I should've waited, but eagerness got the better of me and I asked for the Senco. As mentioned, it works as it should and meets my needs to power finish nailers (woodworking), fill tires, and blow crud off my garage floor. I wanted to upgrade from my current, dinky, 3 gal pancake compressor. The pancake was under-powered, leaked air, and was screamingly loud. The Senco provides plenty of power and 2hp/4.3 gals seems to be enough for my needs. Bigger would be better, but storage and portability were also concerns. The Senco is heavyish, but managable; and its footprint isn't much greater than the pancake compressor. Is the Senco quiet? In a word- no. While its noticably less noisy tham my oiless pancake, it still makes a racket. The Makita is reportedly quieter, due to the larger bore and slower motor. Thats one of the reasons I originally wanted it, and kinda wish I held out for it.So whats wrong with the Senco?1- The item received differs slightly from the compressor pictured. The gauges on the compressor I recieved don't face upward as pictured. They face inward, toward the compressor motor. This makes the gauges harder to read imo.2- The air filer housing was a hassle to install. There isn't enough room between the motor and air tank. You need to disassemble the housing, attach the small portion of the housing to the compressor motor, then muscle/squeeze the large portion back onto the other part. (See pic)3- The bottom gauge originally rubbed against the motor shroud. This would have caused excessive wear and vibration on the gauges and regulator. I was able to move the regulator/gauge assembley off the shroud by simply tightening the coupling that attaches it to the tank. Quick fix, no big deal. All that said-The senco works well enough that I don't feel inclined to return it for the Makita. Other than the minor issues I mentioned, it seems to be fairly well-built. My 5-year plan is to upgrade into a much larger compressor when/if I move into a bigger place. I'm sure the Senco will serve me well until I get there.

5Excellent Tool
By D. R. Allen
I purchased this tool for do-all purposes. I chose thismodel over the others due to the fact that I wanted tobe able to screw the standard 2x together with a three inchscrew. I had never owned nor seen a Senco product in thepast, and was a little concerned when I bought it overthe internet about the quality (without seeing it first).I have many types of tools, and am comparing it to theones that I like (milwuakee, rigid and dewalt). After running about 1000 2 inch screws and maybe 3002.5 inch screws through the gun, I can say that thisis a very nice tool. The build quality appears very good, and with the few screws I have ran, had no problemsat all. Me and my wife put up over 130ft of 6' tallprivacy fence (red wood) in about 6 hours. That includedthe horizontal frame boards (posts where already in the ground). My wife actually ran the screw gun, and honestly, I had ahard time moving wood fast enouph to keep up. Thats how fastit is. The only change I would recommend making on the gunwould be making an easier way to adjust the gun for differentlength screws. This is by no means a complaint, I just cannotthink of anything else I would change on this gun. Very goodquality, and does what it claims (and faster than you think).

4Stand-up flooring tool.
By DavE
My poor knees and back appreciate this tool. It zips along shooting screws with few problems. Still trying to figure how to load screw "belt" so that the very first screw is used, not #3. Because of its size it takes a while to adjust to setting up and handling. However, the ability to stand and work makes up for the minor probs.

5Laser Receiver
By dirt mover
This laser receiver enables machine grading at a fraction of the cost of permanent mounted systems. You can use the magnetic mounts directly to attach to the machine blade, backhoe or make an extension mount from angle iron and a couple of 4" ceramic magnets. Either way, it attaches firmly and can be moved between machines.

4A real time saver!
By S. Paxson
The DS275-18 deserves 4 1/2 stars. I do not agree in giving a low rating just because a tool "isn't for you". If the tool performs as the manufacturer intended, then rate it for its purpose, not your feelings.I used the DS275-18 unit to install 5/8" drywall and it performed very well. I'm not sure the batteries would hold up long enough to use the unit continuously all day as a wall board hanger would do. Extra batteries would over ride that concern. For the occasional handyman / remodeler, I would say you should be pleased with this screw gun.I enjoyed using it to install 1/2" cement board in a bathroom and kitchen floor before tiling. It really saved a lot of time. Using 2" galvanized decking screws, I was able to screw in 12 sheets of 3 x 5 with 4" to 6" spacing before both batteries were exhausted. The unit worked VERY well. I messed up on a few screws because I angled the unit; I just followed up with a regular screw gun to correct the problem. Also keep the regular screw gun handy to back out any misplaced screws. Even thou the unit has reverse, it is not designed to go back and extract screws. The mechanism will advance another screw and time will be lost while you try doing so.My only concerns with this unit are the battery charge time and it does not allow for an extension so you can stand straight up. The batteries lasted long enough for the 12 sheets, but the charging time seemed extensive. I took an early lunch and had at least one battery completely charged. If it had an extension handle accessory, my bending over while using the unit, would no longer be an issue. If your young and less than 6' tall, you may not care about the extension. My DS275-18 was stolen about a month ago, because of the battery and extension issue; I will replace it with a DS300-S4. When I receive that unit, I will give it a review.

2Not enough power for 3" screws
By Larry
I have been satisified with SENCO products in the past. I think the DS-200AC screw gun is amazing. Unfortunately it only drives 1"-2" screws and I needed to drive 1 1/4 and 3" screws for a project. The DS300AC is really meant for subfloors and is too awkward for drywall, so that left the DS275-18. I was leary of a battery operated system, so I called SENCO and they stated that it could handle 3" screws without a problem. So I went ahead and bought it.It powers through the 1" and 2" screws - not having a cord is very nice. However, on a fresh battery, it could only drive a couple 3" screws into 2x4's. The drive simply ground to a halt at the end. After the first two screws, it would only drive 2 1/2" of the 3" screw consistently. I guess a hint that this tool was never really meant to handle 3" screws was that the 3" screws do not fit into the screw guard - the instructions state to remove the screw guard - wish someone at Senco would have told me that.

5Power, speed and accuracy
By A Customer
So, your tired of putting in screws one at a time and having to have someone to help hold drywall. Your prayers have been answered. This thing rocks! No cords. Incredible speed. 30 round clips. What more could you ask for. The batteries charge fast and you get 2 of them. I may be heavy for some but if you are man enough to handle it, the power is worth the weight. If you wish something lighter go with the 14 volt. It still has decent power but the 18 volt can power through decking as well as drywall. Happy hanging.

5EXCELLENT TOOL!
By J. Adkerson
I have owned this tool for over a year now and have driven at least 1000 screws with it with ZERO problems. I am an avid DIY'er and am remodeling our house and when it comes time to hang drywall, this tool is an asset! The depth control works very well and just sinks the screws below the surface of the drywall and the head of the plunger leaves just the right dimple to fill with compound. I have used this tool while remodeling 3 rooms of our home and for installing sheets of drywall in a garage addition and all I can say is I LOVE THIS TOOL! If you are going to be installing drywall and are considering this product to speed things up, GO FOR IT! you won't be dissapointed! I have not tried this product for screws longer than 1-1/4 but if I need to build a quick frame for something, I doubt i'll be dissapointed.

1Hit and miss
By Average Joe
When I first purchased this gun, the reviews were positive. Seems, lately, these guns are becoming more inferior. How fortunate for those that were able to receive one that works properly. Initially, my gun worked great, sinking screws at the speed of light making for a quick drywall job. After about 6 sheets, the screws would become stuck in the plastic strip and would have to be removed manually. This problem continued to worsen until no screws would eject through the strip. The screw strips were the recommended Senco strips. Amazon's retailer (Noble) agreed to immediately replace the gun with a new one. The second gun produced similar results. This time after about 8 sheets, the slide would not retract at all while the motor was activated which would not allow the screw to be inserted even a short distance into the drywall. It appeared that the slide was in need of lubrication, yet, the manual specifically states not to lubricate it. Oddly, the slide would retract easily as long as the trigger was not engaged. Noble has agreed to accept the second faulty gun and will issue a full refund. Currently, they are no longer stocking this item.

5Excellent time saver!!
By C. Stevens
What a wonderful tool! Hung a new ceiling with this tool and a jack by myself - much easier to have the screw gun loaded and ready to go when your other hand is holding the drywall up.Also speeds up the hanging process ten-fold. You can easily hang a 4X8 sheet in under a minute - I'd never come close to that with my old drywall screw gun.I was looking at a new makita gun for $79, and for the extra $20 it was well worth having the autofeed.I would recommend this tool to anyone doing decking, drywall, strapping, etc. work.

5Old design for today's diving challenges
By M. Al-Khatreash
Old school fins, they are more than 30 years old design; they provide great performance with minimal effort. I own high performance modern fins from another manufacture and there are no comparisons to the Jetfin. My finning technique has improved with the Jetfin and my air consumption has been reduced. I do recommend them for recreation divers and they are a must for technical dive.

5Best Fin for the Serious Diver
By Chris
These fins provide unparalleled force transfer and responsiveness. However, that being said, if you have poor finning technique, this will kick your rear. If you don't learn to do a proper frog kick, these can get tiring. But when you need to get out of a current or need the power, these things deliver much better than the various other performance and split fins I have used. One drawback is the weight. These will definitely eat up a chunk of your luggage allowance. Coupled with a backplate and regs., you'll be lucky if you can fit in any clothes without going over the limit. All in all, these fins are great. One thing I don't understand are people who say they have been through many pairs. Unless they lose the old ones, I don't see why they would ever need to be replaced. The rubber is extremely thick and durable. The heel springs are definitely a plus if you get them. However, I got my fins in college when I was poor as dirt. So, I got some very thick gauge bungie, threaded it through a larger in diameter section of tube of rubber hose and tied the bungie through the strap connections. That was 6 years again, and that setup still works wonderfully. It is a pain to tie the first time if you get the right size bungie, because the diameter should be slightly larger than the size of the holes on the connection buckles. But after that, super easy on and off and an easy on and off fin that is still secure on your feet.

5The Standard for technical diving
By O. Baez
I have 2 pair one in XL and one in 2XL depending on which set of booties I use my normal shoe size is men's 11 but with the thicker booties ( wet5mm /rock boots)the upper surface of my toe knuckles where getting severely abraded with the XL so I saw a used set of XXL on Amazon (totally new) and my toe knuckles are no longer abraded! About the fin they are the heaviest in this niche of fins( I own the OMS for travel very light weight monoprene but same basic design) they are rubber, they get abused by my style of use but I will bet that they will be around for generation. They work great for all technical kicks flutter , frog, reverse, and helicopter. That's why they are standard for technical diving.

5Cruiser Snorkel Vest
By Patrick Curren
I wore this vest for 8 of the 10 days I was at St. John. It is very comfortable and looked good on me. I especially liked the snorkel design on the back of the vest. It was easy to put on and take off. There were days when I would wear it all day long between snorkel trips. The material on the back is made of a wet suit material. Only the front of the vest can be filled with air which is where it is needed anyway. The vest has but one pocket in the lower front area which is where I put my camera. This pocket has Velcro to seal it. For beginner snorkelers, I recommend a snorkel vest and even for experienced snorkelers I recommend one for the long snorkels. In choppy waters, it was reassuring to be able to fill the vest with air on the fly, rest up and continue on at my own relaxed pace.

5Peace of mind; priceless
By Diane
My husband purchased the Scubapro Cruiser Snorkeling vest for me to replace a Body Glove vest that is bulky and heavy just prior to a week long sail in the Caribbean three years ago; I am not a strong swimmer and have a tendency to feel panicky when I am tired. This vest is slim and sleek, providing buoyancy with the thin neoprene material that covers your back and under your arms (although the material is comfortable and soft on your salty skin, I wear a thin t-shirt underneath), The vest zips tight under your left arm; the plastic zipper seems very sturdy, and is very easy to use. For additional buoyancy, inflate the vest as much or little as you like using the tube on the left side of the chest for even more buoyancy; this tube is also used to deflate the vest to ease climbing into the yacht or dingy. The vest is extremely compact and lightweight for your suitcase, the material dries in a matter of an hour in the breeze over a line, and the bright yellow color makes it easy to spot you in the water. Unfortunately, it only comes in men's sizes; the first vest was too large and it was necessary to order a smaller size and pay for expedited shipping to take on that first trip. You definitely want a snug fit; too large and it rides up under your chin. The company accepted the return of the larger vest with no problem at all.It is too bad they do not offer this vest for children, but perhaps the reason is an adult should never depend upon a flotation device to keep your child safe. I am so much more comfortable wearing this vest and that means I get to enjoy the snorkeling that much more! I highly recommend this vest to anyone looking for comfort and peace of mind.

5Best Vest
By Trev on the Great Barrier Reef
Bought 2 of these for my wife and I for snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef over Christmas. Chose them as the only sensible alternative to ghastly life-jacket style things available from other suppliers. They look quite smart (almost stylish), so you don't feel like the odd one out when others are wearing rash vests. You may still need a rash vest or other protection from sun, because we both got sunburnt shoulders and upper arms. You may only need a little of the inflation (or even none at all because of the slight bouyancy of the vest itself) and it really helps to give comfortable flotation without effort. And keeps you comfortably warm too.I agree with other reviewers that you should get a "tight fit". It may seem too tight to zip up at first, and you may start off feeling a little squeezed, but you'll get used to it quickly and not be at all uncomfortable.Good quality construction and easy to use.My only negative comment is that, even when the vest itself is a good tight fit, the inflatable panel does ride-up a bit because, although it's stitched to the vest at the shoulders, it's more loosely attached to the vest by elastic straps at the waist so it has some free movement separate from the vest there. Oh yes, and the velcro fastened "pocket" at the bottom of the front panel is too small to hold anything much.Overall, a great product.Shame it's so expensive, and be ready to pay an extra £25 or so of import tax to the shipping company on delivery.
