5Good product,
By Mrs. N. Nasim
This sanding table has done exactly as we wanted it to in our cabinet shop. The sides drop down for sanding larger pieces, and it does a very good job of collecting the dust.

4Great for bearing press..
By mcscheck
Nice for a bench top press.. The press rod almost looks like it wont hold up under the pressure but it does just fine.. The only thing I would think would make this a better deal would be adding a couple of different size press ends to fit over the rod..

5Great little Press
By John
I have had this press for 5 years, Great little press for the money, I would buy the larger one next time, As I have run into projects that I could have used a larger press.

3Good for the weekend mechanic
By JB
The press did what I needed to do- pressing suspension bushings in and out of suspension arms for a weekend car work project, and for the price, is great. Since this will not be used frequently, the low price price was the reason to buy. There were a few things that I was disappointed about:Steel spacer blocks were in cast form, not machined flat. Makes it difficult to align parts squarely.Only 3 adjustments for table height.Overall, I would recommend for the occasional use, and the press is a good value.

4Very nice machine..
By KRASSEL
I had originally purchased the Jet 707597K (separate review) but had to return it and replaced it with the Shop Fox G4790. This is a nice machine. Not quite the fit and finish of the Jet, but very nice regardless. It has a smaller footprint than the Jet and sits a little lower, unless you mount it on a mobile base. I passed on the mobile base offered with the machine, because it increased the footprint so much. This is one of the few machines in my shop not mounted on wheels. It has it's designated corner and probably will remain there. If I do need to make it mobile I will mount some Grizzly 3" locking casters to the base, keeping the footprint small.I have run hose from the two 2" dust ports to a Y fitting that has a 4" connector, this seems to work very well. Very little dust escapes and what does my ceiling mounted air filter handles easily. What I really like about this machine is that you are able to remove the end guard from the belt, stand the belt sander up and use the end to sand radius. I use this feature a lot. Couldn't do it with the Jet.The motor is strong and the machine runs quietly, and tracking is very easy and stays put. I plan in the future to run several 220 circuits into my shop, as I have several machines that can run 110/220, including this one.The cabinet is a handy item, lots of room to store belts, tables, miter gauge etc.Changing belts, something I do a lot of, is fairly easy and quick. Especially after modifying the dust collector for the belt. This process was a little more complicated on the Jet.All things considered, I am very pleased with this machine. It does a nice job replacing my old 4x36 Craftsman. I would recommend the Shop Fox to anyone needing a stationary sanding station.

4Very pleasantly surprised
By D. J.
Had been saving for a Jet, but another reviewer thankfully pointed out that the cover for the radius couldn't be removed and pointed to the Shop Fox as the alternative of his choice. This is important as I use it a great deal. The sander is heavy duty and the stand provides a stable base, ample storage and a small footprint. It assembled well, instructions were decent and it was running in a short time. This Shop Fox adjusts easily and has plenty of power - haven't seen a hint of bogging down yet. I also didn't really think that the extra inch in the disc sander (10") from the norm (9") would be noticeable, but it is, and appreciated. The tracking is something I figured would take awhile and counted on it. However, it took no longer than to turn the knob and steer the belt to the center of which it stayed under heavy sanding. I also appreciate the tension release which will make it a snap to change belts, especially since I don't have to remove a radius guide, unless I want it there. If there is anything to complain about, it is that it sits a little high for my taste, but I'll get used to that. The other thing is that is not as quiet as my previous sander. Obviously something I'll learn to live with, but was a little surprised by it. Guess it's the comprimise for the power. My friend has a Jet and it is certainly a nice sanding station with a bit better fit and finish, but I'm not dissapointed in this and would make the same decision if I had it to do over.

5Lovin it
By R. Williams
This sander is great. The fit and finish leave something to be desired but I am very satisfied with the operation of the sander. Very simple to assemble and the tracking was very eaisy to adjust. I also love the stand which arrived seperately, it is well constructed and has a on off switch on the side of it. You can take the guard at the top of the belt off to use that end to sand on a inside radius which I think is a great plus. The belts are very easy to change. This is very heavy so wheels on the cabinet would be helpful, I intend to purchase wheels. As far as I can tell this is a great product!!

4W1410 AKA Grizzly G4722 the good and bad
By Tiger 2
I just received my G4722 fence from Grizzly. It appears to be the same as the W1410 at Amazon, same initial price size features etc. I will be honest about this review. First, the packaging was marginal, the trip from Taiwan to my house was rough. The front rail was bent in two directions and had broke through the box when delivered, not sure if that was due to UPS or the trip across the Pacific. Obviousley the up arrow on the box was not considered critical. The main head stock was hammered by the rails during freight. But that's okay, cosmetics are secondary to function. The front rail bolted up fine with the existing holes on my Grizzly G1022 table saw, it took a little bending to get it straight enough, but that was not too bad. The back rail had the same bolt centers from left to right, but not what was needed top to bottom. I had to drill two new holes in the saw table for the rear rail. Fox Saw provides a drill and tap for such occasions, both of which are Chinese junk. I predrilled the hole with my 3/16 bit and tried to drill the 5/16 hole with the provided bit. The Chinese bit would NOT drill the cast iron table (so it went to the trash). Used my own HSS 5/16 drill bit and it went through in seconds. Next, the 3/8X16 tap provided, again junk would not tap, just rounded over. I decided to just through bolt the back rail using 5/16 bolts, nuts and lock washers. The good news. once i got the rails proper placed and adjusted, the fence was easy to fine tune. Square to the blade easy to adjust, square to the table easy to adjust. Cam over to lock the fence requires more force than my other fence but it locks solid and square. With the standard rails I have 25" to the right and 8" to the left of the blade. The fence came with rail corner protectors, nice thought but not really useable, since the angle rail fits snug againt the saw and the right sides have a brace, the rubber protectors won't fit securely. So, at the end of the day, i paid $199 for the fence from Grizzly on sale. It works so much better than my orininal fence. No more measuring the fence front to back. just set it on the easy to read scale and that's the dimension i get. It would be a 5 star product if it it got to me without damage and I did not have to make modifications to my saw with a junk drill bit and tap. The instructions are okay if you are mechanically inclined and can read between the lines, I'm sure any good wood crafter can do.Shop Fox W1410 Fence with Standard Rails

5Shop Fox W1410 tablesaw fence w/standard rails
By Jay
I have a Hitachi C10FL table saw. The Hitachi fence has been described in some reviews as "decent." Not mine. I could never adjust it to anything remotely resembling consistency or holding square. It slewed terribly between front and back I always, always had to measure front and back to guarantee squareness. I got fed up. One of the new additions for my new shop project was a new fence! It took a lot of study. There are a lot of choices and a fairly wide spread of prices.I narrowed my choices down based upon reviews, merits and whether or not I liked it's looks. (Not much of a recommendation I know but, hey, Looks has to count for something:) Then I started juggling $$$ signs. My choice was not the cheapest but, was in the lower quadrant. What I finally settled upon was the "Shop Fox" W1410 "manufactured for Woodstock." It's "made in Taiwan" but the quality from there is not necessarily bad these days. It just depends on what level of quality the item customer is willing to pay for. From what I have seen, the quality of this is second to none. Now, the rails are simple angle iron. Nothing fancy about that but it's plenty sturdy! Other than the sight window for the scale, there is no plastic in this thing. It is solidly built of steel and aluminum. In keeping with the comment from another reviewer, my fence came well packed in a sturdy box and was free from defects or damage. This fence is tall, slick sided and basically black. It came with "standard rails," namely the aforementioned angle iron and two end pieces for an optional table addition that I did not use. The holes did not match up with my saw but, that is no surprise and no problem. They actually supply a bit and tap for putting in new holes but, throw those away! I tried them and they are no good. A tap that can't cut threads in cast iron isn't worth wasting your time with. Still, that was no problem either. I used my own.The instructions are well illustrated and clear but, there was one detail that I goofed on. Let me blame VA meds for that embarrassment. The rail in back is supposed to mount 1/16" of an inch below the table top. The one in front also 1/16" of an inch down BUT, down from the bottom of the MITER SLOT. NOT the table top. I missed that little detail. MY fault, it was clearly written but, still, an easy oversight to make. When the fence went on the rails it rolled smoothly, firmly and with no trace of front to back shifting. It was rock solid. One problem though was the clamping force required was excessively hard. That was understandable though. The maximum length of table the fence is made for is given as 27-1/4". My table is 27-1/8". Pretty near the limit. Adjustment is tricky and a bit of a pain. You have to pull pins, disconnect parts and make adjustment turns front & back, reassemble and test it again. You have to do this incrementally until you get it adjusted to suit. Still, it only took two tries to get it right. I checked parallelism from miter slot and blade and it was spot on.Now it clamps easily but firmly. There is no shift or wobble and it holds parallelism rock solid! I am very happy with it. One feature I believe that holds it in place so well is it's wide `foot print.' It has one roller in back and two quite widely spaced in front. The rollers are steel, grooved so they ride on the edge of the angle iron and can't ride up or sag down. The front rollers serve for fine adjustment which they allow smoothly and easily. There is a slot down the center top of the fence to take Tee nuts (you'll see two on the fence in the pics) and there are clamps sold separately to work with this fence I have not bought. For $186.70- free shipping but, tax charged, I am well satisfied and thrilled to have a fence that is an asset instead of an aggravation. The only problems incurred in assembly were of my own making. I posted pics to the item page.

4Awesome fence
By Knowell Matthews
I bought this fence as a replacement for the one found on my old grizzly table saw. The instructions are very easy to follow. I did have to drill 2 new mounting holes in the back of the saw for the rear rail to bolt to. Easy enough. One word of caution, the drill bit and tap that comes with the kit are junk so expect to have your own 5/16 bit w/ a 3/8 tap on hand to mount this unit. Other than that the fence was a breeze to install and set square to the table. When you lock it down it doesn't move and stays very accurate. I gave it 4 out of five stars only because of the inferior tap and drill bit. I would highly recommend this fence to anyone that wishes to bring there old table saw to the next level of accuracy.

5Incredible timesaver
By Amazon Customer
What a timesaver! I use this with a Jet 1100 CFM dust collector. It works flawlessly, installed in about 2 minutes and saves me a bundle of time from walking back and forth to the dust collector. The RF signal works through walls, so I can now put the collector in a small room adjacent to my shop and free up additional space. There's even a belt clip on the unit, allowing me to clip it on while I'm in the shop. Well worth it.

3Strong feeder, weak stand.
By Strom
This feeder has handled 1000's of feet of T&G. No problems there. My complaint is with the stand. You need to tighten the joints quite hard to keep the feeder from moving. I have broken 2 tightening handles so far. They are low grade steel in my opinion. I've replaced them with hex machine bolts, but they are slower to tighten than the original handles. Grizzly should upgrade these handles.

Product is a three ton arobor press marketed by Grizzly. This unit replaced my older one ton arbor press, and has preformed well. In all proportions, the unit is over-built and tough enough to handle anything that will fit in the throat of the press.
