4Nice scope...
By mike
I like the scope, however, it does not come with scope lens covers(even a bushnell will come with a rubber-band scope lens caps) So far this scope is holding up to the recoil generated by a 7.62x54r.

5Works extremely well with Mosin-Nagant rifles
By MaxPower
Although not the cheapest option out there, I am very happy with my Weaver scope purchase.I mated it to Millett Aluminum Ring and Brass Stacker See Thru Scout Scope Mount for Mosin Nagant 9130 and I am very happy. This is the second Weaver scope I own and I have been very happy with the quality of the scope and the clarity. I added some lens caps I bought at a local store...I didn't buy Weaver caps...but if you want to buy Weave lens caps...size E is what you need. Also no cloth to wipe the lens, so make sure you pick one up. I am still sighting the scope in but I feel that it will be working on my Mosin for many years.

5Great for Mosins

I put it on a mosin with a Brass Stacker mount. Awesome solution for putting an optic on a mosin. Perfect eye relief and has held zero although I've only put 50 rds through it.

4Great TV despite some flaws
By stan
I've had this tv for over 6 years and though it's starting to show its age it still works greatThe only cons I have for this television is that it has no HDMI input, and it weighs 170+ pounds.

5I love this TV!
By V. Kim
I purchased this television set in 2003 and from the moment I set it up it has been amazing in every aspect. I love the picture quality and the SRS trusurround is a very good sound from a television, it even gives the illusion of surround sound if you put the TV in the right acoustical environment. It does not have 1080P capability but that is not a big deal for me, its hard to tell a difference if any as long as you aren't sitting a foot in front of the television and what do you expect from a TV thats outdated almost 9 years? One bit of advice for anyone who currently owns or is purchasing this set used, don't be afraid to open up the back of the television and clean off the lamps, they are dust magnets so if your picture starts to seem dark, just get a soft cloth and dust them off. After dusting you want to adjust the convergence to get the picture right. Do that every 6 months or so and this tv will last you forever!

Price Comparisons for Music Hall OBH-11 Headphone Amplifier

Music Hall OBH-11 Headphone AmplifierBuy Music Hall OBH-11 Headphone Amplifier

Music Hall OBH-11 Headphone Amplifier Product Description:

  • Best suited for low impedance headphones - 30-300 ohms
  • Features one pair of stereo RCA input jacks on rear panel, and a 24V - 150mA DC power jack, for connection to included power supply adapter
  • Single 1/4 stereo headphone jack on front panel
  • Dimensions - 2H x 4W x 4D; weighs 12 ounces

Product Description

The OBH-11 is a miniature audio amplifier, designed specifically to drive a single pair of low to medium impedance (30 Ohm -300 Ohm) headphones from a line level source.

The OBH-11 is compatible with any source at line level. For example: an average output level CD player can be connected directly to the input of the OBH-11, just as it could also be used in conjunction with a stand-alone pre-amplifier or integrated amplifier which doesn't have a headphone output.

Creek has re-engineered the casework of the old OBH 11, so the front panel is now much thicker and has rounded corners, new style graphics and the metal logo found on the more expensive Creek products. It is ONLY available in black and is an addition to Creek's range of popular headphone amplifiers.

Creek has designed this to simplify the requirements for OBH products used in all countries. It is supplied with a selection of snap-on power plugs and since it is capable of working from a range of mains voltages from 100 - 240V's, we are confident it will make life a lot easier for everyone.

We have compared the performance with that of the OBH-2 and feel that it is a good replacement. Furthermore, since it no longer works at mains frequencies (50-60Hz) it will not interfere with high gain circuits like the Phono amplifiers and it also does not draw current when connected to the mains but not being used.

  • Output Power > 10 mW into 30 ohm / 300 ohm loads
  • Headphone Impedance 30 ohm to 300 ohm
  • Total Harmonic Distortion < 0.01% at 1 kHz
  • Signal To Noise Ratio > 70 dB
  • Power Consumption < 4 VA
  • Power Supply Requirement 24V DC 150mA (Uni-OBH)
  • Weight 3Kg
  • Size W/H/D 130 x 100 x 65mm

    5Who needs Speakers?
    By Kevin M.
I've used this headphone amp two years and it's great. So good, that it becomes difficult to listen to music any other way. I have to admit, I once thought it to be silly investment, but after borrowing a friend's headphone amp, I broke down and purchased one for myself. There was a slight break-in period, maybe 40 hours, but it was well worth it. I've used it in a few different ways, (ipod, home theater, CD, and finally with computer files. I have two pairs of headphones, Sennheiser HD-595 Premier Headphone and AKG K 701 WHITE HEADPHONES and they both work wonderfully with the Creek. Mate this headphone amp with a DAC and sit back and enjoy. Oh yes, it will play loudly, I rarely get it above 10 o'clock.

    4Good Buy
    By Richard K. Ziegenfuss
The majority of headphone amplifiers are far more expensive than this one. The Creek does exactly what I want, including an output to another amp for a second person. Very satisfied.

5like magic in my ears- am i in heaven?
    By Ricardo95
I bought the obh-11se years back paired with a sennheiser hd580 with cardo blue cables and grado rca wires. Needless to say this was my "system". I used this with my friend (2 jacks) to listen to a lot of live recordings on CD demos for Latin bands that we commented on for tweaking- and all my CD's and recordings.I'm an audio nut. I'll say this, you may have NEVER heard music as this plays it. I had a friend try it with my set up and he wanted to cry he said from the way the music felt and sounded. For digital recordings you hear any imperfections in the engineering and the bass is tight and no too boomy- this wasn't made for that. If you're like me and cross all spectrums then this will work. Classical music and live rock are insane. You hear the violin strings being stroked and feel like you're there on Mozarts Ode to Joy, the guitar strings being plucked on Zeppelin's dwy'er- you can almost see Jimmy Page's fingers! Latin Music is all recorded with many instruments and i could hear the drummers gliding hand's off the conga drums. It's that deep. But you also hear any imperfections in the recordings like I said. Musically the best investment I made along with my headphones. Any amp u buy, or 99%, DO NOT have sufficient power to make you're high quality headphones sounds as they should. Good analogy is buying some expensive speakers in your car rated at 100WRMS but your amp feeds them 40WRMS. You do NOT get to appreciate the speakers because of lack of power. Oh you can crank the volume but you're missing out on so much of the music If you listen solely to hip hop these ARE NOT for you as that's all digital music. But if you like classical, jazz, Latin, Live recordings, let this take you to musical heaven

4Best vitamins, but way too expensive and must SHAKE with juice
    By Judith
When I've taken All One, I never got sick. I've compared their ingredients and amounts quite closely with all others worth considering, and they come out #1 every time. But they're far too expensive for most of us -- and far more costly than the versions of All One for younger people. Seems stupid, inconsiderate and irresponsible, to me. Our excellent local nutrition store carries All One, but not the Active Seniors Formula, because nobody will pay that much. You also must SHAKE it (not stir) in juice. If you can't swallow pills, this is an advantage. To me, it's a hassle.

5Wonderful performer in its price range.
    By D & A
After considerable research, comparing this unit to the similarly priced Sony TRV70/TRV80, and the 3CCD Panasonic PV-DV953, I opted for the Canon Optura Xi. I wanted a digital camcorder:

    1. That was compact enough to "take it along" without it being a hinderance2. That had acceptable low-light performance (by low-light I mean average lighting indoors after dark)3. Had a decent 16:9 widescreen mode (using the entire CCD)4. Had a decent interface (easy to use with good stabilization)5. No proprietary parts unless there's a darn good reason

Initially I looked at the ultra-compact models, but their unattractive low-light abilities combined with the difficult ease-of-use (hard to keep stable, many buttons on a small area) made me change my mind towards these models.

For #1, the panasonic was the largest and heaviest of the three (almost too big for me), the sony the smallest and nicely designed. Since the Optura XI just came out, I never had an opportunity to hold it, but was pleased to see that it's compact enough for my purposes.

For #2, the Panasonic did not have acceptable low-light performance for indoor home use. Its 3CCDs give it the best color representation of the three by far, however it needs a considerable amount of light to make a difference - better suited to budget-minded professionals who ensure their subjects have enough light. Sony's low light performance was only marginally better than the Panasonic's. The Canon's low light performance is top-notch.

For #3, the sony has a 'wide CCD' which allows for more pixels width-wise which was a nice bonus. The Canon and the Panasonic both use an 'anamorphic' lens that widens the camera's view and forces the widened image onto the 4:3 CCD, which can be later be burned onto a DVD as 16:9 that plays widescreen on widescreen TVs, and letterbox on 4:3 TVs. So all three had good 16:9 modes, with the Sony having a slight edge - and the bonus of presenting the image on the viewscreen as 16:9 as well!

For #4, the Sony loses in my estimation - the fact that I have to use the touchscreen during a shoot to change a picture aspect was a big downfall here. Using a touchscreen during playback is nice, but I don't want to have to use it during shooting and risk camera shake or losing my subject! Also, I have heard many criticisms about Sony's too-sensitive zoom feature. The Panasonic has great ease-of-use, however I found the myriad of manual options a little intimidating - a big plus for professionals, though. The Canon has a wonderful look and feel, it's easy to hold, all its buttons are easily accessible, and its optical image stabilization is the best you can find.

For #5, too bad for Sony, I do not want to have to buy memory sticks. Period. The nice thing about having SD cards around, for example, is the ability to transfer them to your PDA, or your digital camera if needed.

If still photos are important for you, all three provide equally nice stills, with an edge in favor of the Panasonic.

5Almost as good as a GL2, for half the price
    By Thomas D. Kehoe
I bought my Canon Optura Xi two months ago. I almost bought a Canon GL2, until I studied the spec sheets. Both camcorders have the same features: 16-bit stereo recording; f/1.6 lens; 11x zoom; Av, Tv, and manual exposure control, etc. What stands out as different in their spec sheets is their CCDs (the chips that record the image). Digital video (DV) is 640 x 480 pixels, or 307,200 pixels, or one-third of a megapixel. NTSC broadcast video is 525 lines with a 4:3 aspect ratio, or 367,500 pixels. To get color you need three times that number of pixels (for red, green, and blue), or about one megapixel. In the past, CCDs had far fewer pixels, so camcorders had three chips to get enough pixels. The GL2 has three 1/4" chips, each with 380,000 pixels. Three chips demands a lens three times bigger. Splitting the light three ways requires a big, heavy prism. 3-chip camcorders are big, heavy, and expensive. The Optura Xi takes a different approach. It uses one chip with 1,230,000 pixels. The CCD is between 1/3" and 1.4"; in other words, bigger than the GL2's 1/4" chips, but smaller than the XL1S's 1/3" chips. (Pro video cameras have three 1/2" or 2/3" chips, making them much bigger and heavier.) The Optura Xi has more pixels than the GL2, yet doesn't need the prism. The lens and body are smaller and lighter, and the Optura Xi is half the price.I've found that my Optura Xi has accurate colors (unlike my old Canon Optura 200MC), and it performs well in low light conditions. The GL2's colors look a little better (more saturated) but only a little. The Optura Xi looks much better than previous one-chip camcorders.Apparently the size of the pixels make a difference. Imagine a CCD with tiny pixels the size of one photon. The state of such a pixel could be described with a one or a zero (either a photon hits the pixel, or no photon hits it). Imagine a CCD with pixels one million times bigger. You'd need a number between one and a million to describe how many photons hit each pixel. This illustrates that a camcorder with bigger CCDs (and a bigger lens) should produce more color detail, especially in very bright or very dark parts of your picture. The GL2 is only slightly better than the Optura Xi, and costs twice as much. To get a camcorder substantially better than the Optura Xi you'll have to pay many times more, such as for a Panasonic AG-DVX100A or a Canon XL2. I'm saving my money until HD camcorders are available. (I don't consider the JVC GR-HD1 to be high-def, as it has one 1/3" CCD with 880,000 pixels trying to fill a 1280x720 one-megapixel format!)My advice is to buy the Optura Xi, then spend your money on microphones, and good tripod, lights, video editing software, etc. You'll make better videos than people that blew their budget on a GL2.Another word of advice. I did a "price search" on the web and found various places advertising prices lower than Amazon (and lower than eBay prices). When I ordered from them, they were "out of stock" and tried to bait-and-switch me to other camcorders. I found that the lowest prices for camcorders that really existed are on Amazon.--Review by Thomas David Kehoe, author of "Hearts and Minds: How Our Brains Are Hardwired for Relationships"

    4A good camera
    By A Customer
First the caveats. This is my first camcorder (after my family's circa 1980's VHS camcorder), and I've had it for a week. I also seriously considered the panasonic pvdv953, but decided on the Optura Xi because of perceived improvement in low light conditions, known Macintosh friendliness of Canon products, and hot accessory shoe. Though the Panasonic may have an edge in color reproduction, to my untrained eye the differences are arguably unnoticable.

First this camera isn't the smallest, but it fits comfortable in my hand and the 3.5" LCD is nice. The zoom slider is easy to control, and most of the camera's functionality is easy to learn. The "special" effects are cheesy and awkward to use. Luckily if you have good video editing software (e.g., iMovie) you don't need these. Optical stabilization works well, and it takes decent photos (the 8MB SD card supplied with camera is practically useless due to its size). USB and fireware connectivity are plug and play, and work as advertised (on G4 laptop).

"Low light" filming seems to be something that's continually revisited. What the heck does 1.5 lux mean anyhow? One 60 watt light? Shaded, bare, or broken and a lit candle in the corner? This camera works decently with sufficient indoor lighting (think two 60 watt in overhead frosted fixture). The low light modes are useless unless you hold the camera perfectly still. Since the white LED is underneath the lens to the right, the ultra low light mode casts a dark moon across the upper left of the video frame.

When played back on my computer or on the TV, the video images look crisp and the colors vibrant. Overall I'm very satisfied with this camera.

    4Back-UPS RS 800VA
    By Ronald S. Kessler
I found that the Back-UPS RS 800VA meets my needs for a power backup system. The unit will supply power to my PC for about 10 minutes before placing the PC into XP Hibernation mode, there is 5 minutes of backup power left at this point. This unit also protects the PC from power surges. The only two draw back I have found to this unit are:1) That the 3 Nema 5-15R outlets power is not controlled by the units front panel on-off switch These outlets are surge protection only, the four battery backup outlets are controlled by the on-off switch.2) Unit is noisy. I don't know if this noise is coming from an internal fan or from the AC power converter.

4A good UPS, but there's an error in the specs.
    By M. Winkler
I bought this UPS due to the fact that APC claims it has full AVR boost and trim, which is becoming harder and harder to find (especially in cheaper UPS's). Most UPS's today that claim to have AVR only have boost AVR but not Trim. After I bought this unit I discovered that it in fact did not have AVR Trim which upset me. APC did make it right by replacing my unit with a Back-UPS RS 1000 which has both AVR Boost and Trim but I thought people should know that this model does not have AVR Trim.Otherwise it's a very good UPS and can power a 200W load for over 30 minutes. It also features both Ethernet and Phone line protection. It's a very good UPS for most computers.

    5Another Solid Product By APC
    By Dan McKinnon
This APC unit is built rock-solid and does exactly what we need it for: keep our machines up and running when the power goes out. With 4 battery backup ports (plus 3 surge only outlets) and very quiet operation, this is a must have accessory for anyone that uses their computer on a daily basis. Upon setting up this unit we lost power only days after plugging this in and we were able to continue our work and save our precious data before disaster struck. With the very likely possibility that an electrical surge can happen at any moment and cause a $15 surge protector to allow this deathblow through without the slightest resistance, you would be ill-advised to not have one of these protecting your investment(s)!!***** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    4excellent starter kit
    By Tim Phillips
This is a nice little starter kit if you think a kid might like bricks and don't want to spend a lot of money if it is just a phase. There is a nice variety of parts, they fit together well enough and the instruction booklet offers a variety of predesigned ideas to get kids started. The portable case is also nice (I loaned a friend one of these sets and his 6 year old girl loves to build out of the case while they are taking long car rides). As an aside, the wheels in this set are about the sharpest looking I've ever seen in brick. I like this set because it is not very specific. You can build a lot of different things from the pieces in the box and there are not a lot of "big pieces" that are only useful for building one particular thing.

    4Original Lego Junkie quite pleased
    By MattthewsMom
I've been playing with Legos since they were introduced back in the 60's. My great-grandmother would go on trips to Denmark and bring us back Legos. My son is now 6 1/2, and has had Primos (no longer available), Duplos and the original-sized Legos. I have always looked at the Mega Bloks as a 'cheap knock off' of the original. Over the past year or so, I've started to notice more of the smaller-sized blocks in the Mega Bloks product line, and have had my curiousity sparked by some of the really neat models I'd seen, and at reasonable prices. My son has tens of thousands of Lego pieces (I consider them highly educational in many areas) and he had seen some of the Mega Bloks sets. We bought him this ProBuilder 10 set, and I have been very impressed with the quality and similarity of the bricks. I have not tried interchanging them with the Lego bricks, yet. He is still having fun building the items in the books, but has already started making ad hoc items as well. There are a lot of the very very small pieces in this set -- it says for ages 5 and up...I think that a lot of the teeny pieces might be hard for a 5-yr old to manipulate. Most of the pieces are not the typical 'rectangular brick' shape, but that's good because in the real world, things aren't always so 'square'. A few of the smaller piecs were a little 'off' in the quality control area. One thing we do is to sort the pieces into like piles (to help find the one we're looking for) and stack them up. I noticed that several were not 'on square' or had places where they had been severed from the mold and had some rough edges. Overall, the quality was quite good. We love the case -- though we've added a few ziploc bags to keep the teeny little one-dot pieces from spilling everywhere. The case is big enough to hold all of the bricks plus some for things that are alrady built and not ready to be dismantled or things that are in-progress. The directions are better than Lego's. The instruction books (2 of them!) that came with how to build the 10 items shown on the box. Not only does it show the progressive build of the model with the last step's pieces turned transparent, it also shows a picture of each piece in that step and how many are needed. For kids just starting into this size brick, it is quite helpful. Overall, even though I've been a devoted Lego buyer and fan for more than 30 years, Mega Bloks has finally produced a truly competitive product.

    5Absolutely adorable!
    By Sierra
These Kelly dolls are the cutest little witches I've ever seen! They're so well-made and wonderfully detailed. These dolls, along with the Kelly Wizard of Oz giftset, are some of the best Kelly dolls I've ever seen! They're definitely worth the price!

    By zorabelle
This set is the cutest...like the devil and angel of Oz..They are articulated like the other Kelly dolls. With the exception of the green skin on the wicked witch which makes her a one of a kind in Kelly doll terms, they will melt your heart!

I just love Mcfarlane products. The way it looks so real. They capture the character exactly the way there suppose to look. Every little detail is so perfect.

    58X 10 Monocular works both for close-up and far-away!
    By P. Kelsey
This special monocular not only works the regular long distances, but also you caan use it for close up. Some examples of this are; to use at a grocery store to both look at the prices on the shelves AND the ailse titles which are over the aisles high above in the air. Also I use this when I am at the bowling alley to read the computer monitor to see my score. A friend of mine uses this monocular when he plays golf, so he can find not only the hole, but also his ball after he hits it. And finally, if you go througgh Amazon.com, you don't have to pay MORE if you went through a specific company.

5Japanese optics, little known brand, BIG performance
    By B. Wolff
I've used a fair bit of optics over the years including firearm scopes, binoculars, telescopes, and a monocular or three. (Ever see the A. Seibert "Emoskop"? check out: [...] What I didn't have, and wanted, were "surgical loupes" for close-up detail work on fine mechanisms and models, etc.; mostly due to the steep price tag. When I learned about the Specwell's close-focusing capability, I bought two monoculars to mount on a glasses frame - my own set of "loupes" for less money, AND I can change the working distance they focus at -- something most binocular, or surgical loupes can't ever do! I was so impressed with the little guys that I bought a THIRD monocular for backyard bird watching, target shooting and whatnot. Focusing at the objective end is smooth, as is adjusting for your eye. It feels sturdy in my extra-large hand, too! Looking at various objects with geometric lines (buildings, power lines), and irregular shapes (trees, landscape), I didn't see any lines bend, no shapes distort - - And for a monocular, the sense of depth is good. Light and color transmission seemed very good - not dim at all. You can use this and still wear glasses too by folding back the rubber eye guard.I'm sure there are monoculars out there with finer lenses, and if that is your particular need then so be it. Otherwise, when balancing cost with quality and, especially, overall usefulness in it's close-to-distant-focusing, I recommend the Specwell Monocular - and bought three!Brad Wolff

    5CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!
    By Pamela J. Good
I've been using this device for many years now. I often wear it around my neck (comes with a string). I just have to have it that close because I use it constantly. I can use it in the store or at fast food restaurants to read the menu signs that are way above the counter. In school, I can read the board or see overheasds better. If you wear glasses, you can purchase a clip to mount right on your glasses that you can put up or down to go from far to closeup immediately. Best vision aid I've ever used.

5They don't call it Big Mama for nothing
    By JohnInCO
This is a GREAT softbox. The price sort of hurts since it's like an umbrella but this softbox really gets the job done. It's light, durable, and give soft, diffused light on your subjects. I like working it with a speedlight or with my Einstein. It's sort of a pain to have to adjust your speed because you have to reach inside the thing to do it (which is why I need to memorize the placement of the dials on the SB-900 so I can do this without looking at it). One complaint you will hear a lot is that you can't get it down to the floor to shoot kids sitting down. Just don't put your lightstand through the zippered hold and the problem is solved! This is a great speedlight. I also have the Paul C Buff Giant softbox and I prefer this much much much more.

    550" Westcott Apollo my Fave
    By George H. Holt
The 50" Westcott Apollo Softbox is an awesome light modifier. Out of all my light modifiers the the 50" Apollo is my favorite. I use it with Studio Strobes and Speed lights. When using speed lights I usually will mount 2-3 flashes in side on a bracket manly for quicker recycle time. With a single 580EXII I can get about f5.6 @ about 40" and ir produces window like quality light! I like the control I get with this softbox, it is nicely recessed and makes it very easy to feather your light. The biggest draw back with this apollo is that you can"t get much angle on the box on a standard light stand. I use a Paul C. Buff "BABY BOOMER" offset arm. the offset arm allows for plenty of angle. [...] I would recommend this softbox for anyone that love pretty light!
