The benchmark for diving compasses.

I have greatly enjoyed my SK-7. It works quite well even at significant angles that would lock the card on my other compasses. It is quite robust and has never failed me except in one dive where I had inadvertantly dropped it on the pavement. The compass card was jarred off its moorings and obviously would not turn.After the dive, I took the compass off and gave it a hefty rap on the side, by which I jarred the card enough to snap back into its proper position. The compass was not at all the worse for wear from having been significantly jarred not once but twice (once by an accident, and once intentionally).The compass has continued to serve me very well for dozens of dives since then, and I am more careful about not dropping precision instruments these days, even though I have little fear of permanently damaging my compass.

This compass locks up frequently.

I too had problems with this compass locking up. The first time it happened another diver showed me how to wack it on it's side to free it up... that worked a few times but it eventually froze up for good. After getting lost on my last dive I was literally beating it with a rock to try and get the dial inside to turn. I would not recommend this compass.

great compass!

I love this compass. It is very usable, not having to hold your arm perfectly level to get the reading. The strap is somewhat difficult, but we just replaced the strap with bungie for easy use. Definitely the best dive compass on the market.

NOT A TOY!!

We used this portable, flashlight sized depth-sounder throughout the South Pacific; diving, swiming, and for advance sounding while bringing our boat through the reef pass. It works perfect, it's definitely not a toy, it's the real deal. I highly recommend it as a diving, boating aid. Good product, completely waterproof.

Nice addition to my cellar

I really like the roll out wine bins. They're a great way to store odd-sized bottles, they look great, and they're fun to use. I've had them installed for more than 5 years, and I haven't broken one -- but I feel like I do need to take extra care not to hurt the rollers or the particle-board shelves, even if that's not the case.They fit standard wooden wine cases, which are easy to get if you don't already have some.I'm about to create a new wine space, and I'm debating if I want to use these again. If they were a bit less expensive, it would be a no-brainer.

You can do better! Buy the Glencairn glass instead.

I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend these glasses. The overall form is attractive and the Riedel name carries some weight, but look closely at the base of the glass--see how pinched and tight it is down there? Riedel overlooked one thing . . . these glasses do not fit the human hand! I don't know what they were thinking. Not a satisfactory way to enjoy your dram. Before you order, check out the Glencairn whisky glass--a much better (and lower cost) design adopted by most of the distilleries in Scotland and by all the major whisky events here in the states. Riedel Vinum Glass

The Riedel Vinum glass for single malt scotch is handsome and well made, although this version is not "hand made." It is as advertised and perfect for enjoying single malt scotches. The fluted lip allows the scotch to spread over a wider range on your pallete as you bring the glass over your lips. For anyone who enjoys single malt scotches, this is a must have item.

Worth the investment

These are amazing glasses--they dramatically increase the experience of a fine scotch. While I imagine they would work for any aromatic spirit, they seem very well suited to scotch.I prefer Islay scotches, which have an aggressive nose, and these glasses really improve the experience by concentrating the bouquet. The glasses are a delightful heavy crystal, and a pleasure to hold as well as drink from.

Totally worth the money

I have had my Somelier glasses for well over 10 years now, actually brought them with me from Austria when I moved in 97, and I agree that they make a difference. I cannot truly enjoy wine from a cheap glass anymore. Even the less expensive Vinum series by Riedel, which is machine blown, does not get close to the experience of the Somelier glass.They are very delicate and fragile, which is the only caveat that I have. Drying one off with a kitchen towel has do be done very carefully - always hold it by the glass bowl, never by the stem. They break easily, and replacing one does cut a hole in the average household budget.

Expensive, but worth it. A total enhancement to the wine drinking experience. TIP: Get a proper cleaning cloth and be careful when handling. These things will crumble before your very eyes.

Very Cool!!!

I bought this for my husband and he loved it. He has always wanted a real OU football helmet but I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a helmet so I got him this and he still loved it. You can't wear this one it just sits on a shelf but it looks real while it sits there. Anyways he loved it and it was a great price so I think you should get this product.

High Quality Authentic helmet, would purchase again

This product was even better than I was expecting. I thought it was a great deal for the quality too. I was concerned the interior padding would be cheap and fall apart after taking the helmet on and off several times but it was high quality and has I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a replica helmet that they are using for more than just setting on a shelf to display. Would make a fun addition to any tailgate event.
