5The best coffee maker ever!
By K. Otero
I own the older version of this coffee maker and in white. This is the best and most reliable coffee maker I have ever had. The charcoal filters make the water taste better and I really like the 1-4 cup setting when I just want to have a few cups at one time. There is also a carafe heat setting which is very nice - I have tried the Keurig coffee maker and it doesn't heat the water enough, I like hot coffee and it keeps it warm to hot (depending on how you set it) for over an hour and then turns off automatically. I would highly recommend this coffee maker. In fact, I am going to upgrade to the stainless since that's what is in my kitchen and I am in need of a new glass carafe. Awesome product!

2Not for short non morning people
By Bryan Kite
This coffee maker makes coffee just fine. Really with the filter and everything I still notice no taste difference between it and my ten year old fifteen dollar Mr. Coffee. The problem with this is two details that I believe make for major annoyances. First one is the carafe that doesn't have a lid that pivots like any other glass coffee maker, nor does it have a screw top like many of the stainless. No, it has a snap on lid that is a pain in the butt to get back on after you are done filling up the water to pour into the next major issue. There is no water marker on the outside, so get ready to keep a flashlight around to catch the water reflection off the inside markers. You might say what is the big issue with that it helps the aesthetics of this beautiful machine. The problem is that my wife is five foot tall, and I leave an hour earlier for work then she is even getting up. So, most of the time unless I am running late I prepare the machine for her and she just has to flip it on. Now though she has no way to know if I carried through on all parts of the setup. Yes, the coffee grounds in the filter is a good place to start, and I told her this myself, but she then reminded me that sometimes I am not always very awake and do one part then run off and forget the other part.My suggestion is don't buy this if you are or have a short person in your household that needs to see the amount of water in machine. Don't buy this if you don't want to wrestle with snapping a lid on every day for the next number of x years. I will be sending mine back to NewEgg and going back to a thoughtful maker.

4functional as well as attractive
By chef alvie
Attractive unit to leave on a kitchen counter. I am enjoying the use of this pot. Hope I can find the inner filters at a nearby store. I am still playing with the grind of coffee to make the perfect cup of coffee. I miss not having a coffee carafe made a of insulated stainless. Good price--Good quality.

5Why have a square when you can have Hearts?
By Mrs. Romano
These waffles look like gourmet waffles. I just love this machine. Mix up your batter (the recipe is in the instruction booklet), heat up this waffle maker, spray a little Pam and pour in the batter. That is it! The waffles come out so cute and delicious I am sure you will love them. I top them with butter and maple syrup. It will look like you slaved in the kitchen for hours when you serve this breakfast. The nonstick finish is too easy to clean and it has several settings for light or darker waffles. Determine the setting you like best and the waffle tone sounds when they are done so you can multi task in the kitchen. And, it has cord storage underneath it, it even has a spot for the plug and you can store it upright to save space. I couldn't be happer with this waffle maker. A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+Also, if you make waffles or pancakes don't walk, run to Williams Sonoma and pick up the "Batter Dispenser" they have. It is about $35 and well worth every penny. Pour your batter in the dispenser and just squeeze the handle to dispense the perfect amount of batter. It works similar to a flour sifter. No mess, no drips and it is stainless steel and dishwasher safe, what could be better?

Used this item several times. Love the ease in using it. Makes great waffles. We do not like the belgium waffle makers. Grandchildren loved the large heart with the little hearts around. Cleaned up well too.

5My first wafflemaker - - I Love It
By doowopjen
I LOVE MY VillaWare UNO Petite Heart Waffler. It is my first wafflemaker that I ever had. I have this wafflemaker for a couple of months and love making waffles.I purchased the Villaware UNO Petite Heart Waffler for a couple of reasons: 1. I was tired of buying the frozen waffles at the supermarket and they didn't have the fiber and whole grain goodness that I prefer.2. I wanted to experiment and make my own 100% whole grain waffles.I did find alot of Whole Grain waffles recipes on the internet to help me out and I also found recipes that use Soy flour, 100% Whole Wheat flour.I also use Organic Whole Grain Pancake & Waffle mixes. They make excellent waffles.I think the wafflemaker is very easy to clean, Just read the easy instructions that came with the wafflemaker.I have been happy with all of my purchases from Amazon.comMaybe I am lucky, who knows.

5Excellent Waffle Baker
By David Rockoff
This waffle maker does a fantastic job if you know how to use it. To get perfect waffles, set the temperature gauge to a little over 1/2 and wait for the light to turn green. Spray the grates HEAVILY with a light cooking oil on top and bottom just before cooking (when they are already hot). Pour the batter into the center of the grill and close/flip. When the wafflemaker beeps, you're done! If you want to do multiple waffles, just toggle the power on/off quickly to reset the timer and repeat!

5Good news & bad news
By Carlie
Overall, we love the wafflemaker. It makes the best crispy waffles that are still fluffy inside. However, don't buy it if you live in the US. After 6 months, we found a couple of hairline cracks on the base. Because of how long we had it, Golda's Kitchen didn't take it back. And Cuisinart in Canada would not send a replacement to the United States!!!!

Product Description

French Roast is not for the timid. The hardiest of Latin American coffees withstand our darkest roast - an intensity which would burn less rugged beans. Blunt, smoky flavors are the objective of the roasting process and there's only a slight, residual acidity. Although it's a powerful blend, the body is light.

Taste French Roast beside Espresso Roast. You may discover and uncover many tastes in the Espresso and the Italian you did not realize were there when tasting them alone. French Roast is about pleasing the palates of those who enjoy the deepest, darkest, smokiest flavor.

French Roast is a combination of select Latin American beans. These beans are strong and hearty, standing up to a roast that would cause many lesser coffees to go up in flames.

People often assume that darker means fuller body. Not true! People also assume that French Roast has either more or less caffeine due to its roast, which is also untrue.

French Roast is great for dark roast die-hards, someone looking for a change, or as an interesting component to a do-it-yourself blend.

Finding and purchasing the best green beans in the world is the first step that differentiates Starbucks? Coffee from the rest of the coffee industry. Starbucks is well-known for its exceptionally high quality coffees, care in selection, and expertise in roast. Each coffee is selected for the defining qualities that distinguish its origin. This careful selection process illustrates Starbucks passion for buying and roasting the world's best coffee.

4Very interesting blend
By kentpaul_65102
I was first reading reviews @ the Starbucks website for this coffee, and it had great reviews, so I though I might give it a try. I went to downtown and bought a bag of whole bean Caffe Verona and boy I am glad I made that decision.Out of the bag, the rich dark brown colors and the aroma punished me of the years I lived without this. A blend of 80% Yukon Blend, an array of Latin American and Indonesian coffees; and, 20% Italian Roast - a blend of Latin American coffees. In the cup the flavor was weak, bold as it smelled it did not seem to have the same score in taste. Light bodyweight with a woody feel to it. The light acidity is topped off with a fruity overtone and bittersweetness.Let me be as bold as to recommend Peet's Arabian Mocha-Java. If you are looking for a Multiblend similar to this, Peet's fixes whatever lacked in Starbuck's Verona. This Mocha-Java is balanced, nutty and smooth. It has excellent acidity, with a slight bite.If you want a closer mix to this than I would mix the Arabian Mocha-Java with Sumatra and you will be very satisfied with its resemblance. There are many coffee drinkers who hate Starbucks because of their corporate culture and popularity. I just like to try anything which looks interesting to me and this caffe Verona is one of the better speciality blends Starbucks has offered.I almost forgot to mention, whole beans always rule . Even if you ground your beans at your nearest cafe or supermarket, the moment the ground coffee comes in contact with the air, the aroma starts to leak. Grind your beans moments before you put it to use, you will see notice the change in taste and aroma when you are drinking it.

4My favorite Starbucks variety
By D. Hoskins
First of all, in response to the query of why you would order this online posed by the reviewer below...not everyone lives near a Starbucks. Hard to believe I know, considering they seem to be on every street corner, but believe it or not there are still large sections of the US w/out Starbucks. So for those of us who want good coffee, Thank God for the internet & amazon. Verona is my favorite SB blend. It doesn't taste burnt as some of their coffee does to me. It has a boldness without being too dark & overwhelming, and it has subtle notes of chocolate without the icky sweetness of a flavored coffee. It makes a delicious cup of coffee.

4Overall great inexpensive MP3 player - USB drive!
By J. B. Donaldson
If you're looking for an inexpensive USB drive for storing and transferring files (either music on other types of files), but would also like a portable MP3 player that plays both MP3 and the superior Window Media Audio (WMA) format, this is a great buy!The menu options of the audio player includes:Equalizer: (can choose from the following pre-programmed settings: Normal, Rock, Jazz, Classical, Pop, Boom).Play mode: Normal, Repeat Track, Repeat All, Shuffle, and Shuffle Repeat.Lockable buttons (have to enter a random set of displayed keys to unlock).Option to have backlight ON or OFF (power saver).Contrast: Can change to lighter or darker.Power saver: Can set the unit to turn off after 1/2/5/10/30 minutes of inactivity, or can be disabled.--------------------You can use a media player that can recognize a portable media player to transfer the music files, or you can simply copy the files onto the Jumpdrive audio player. (I use Windows XP with Windows Media player 10).The battery life is rated at 6 hours for alkaline, and I got at least that. (I usually use rechargeable batteries that are cheaper to use!)One of the minor drawbacks of the player: if you are in the middle of a list of songs that you are listening to and the unit is turned off, it will not remember where you left off and will start from the beginning.I use a nicer set of headphone compared to what comes with the player, and the sound quality rivals a nice CD player. This depends of course upon the sampling quality of the file being listened to. For the price, you can't beat it!

4Easy to use, inexpensive, and decent features.
By Nick Gaydos
I've been happy with my Lexar Media Jumpdrive. As a USB flash drive that will store any files you drop on it, as well as play about 2 hours of audio in MP3 and WMA format.

Transfering music is as easy as plugging it in. It is automatically picked up by the operating system as a removable drive - no drivers, no CD, works on Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, you name it.

The case is durable and fits in my hand well, but could be a bit more substancial. Navigation is fairly intuitive with one joystick that controls all functions.

Sound quality is great... I can't complain about the earbud headphones that it comes with. The backlit screen is easy on the eyes and battery life is pretty decent off of 1 AAA battery (included).

Room for improvement: I'd love a belt clip... the lanyard doesn't do much for me when working out.

5A Versatil Essential for the Homeowner
By D. Jensen
Like another reviewer, the 'Little Giant' infomercial piqued my interest about this type of product. I was in need of an extension ladder in the 20ft range, but didn't really want to deal with storing it. The idea of meeting this need with a unit that stores in a compact space was appealing, and I could get rid of my eight foot step ladder to boot. I found the Werner MT-22 at Lowes for $198 plus tax. Little Giant didn't really lose a sale because there was no way I was going to pay $400 for a ladder no matter how well made or versatile. The ladder is everything I expected. It works great as an A-frame stepladder. Although it is heaver than the 8-foot stepladder I'm retiring, it is also less bulky which is a good trade off when manuvering it to where I need to use it. It is also useful outdoors as a taller stepladder. The feature to allow it to be set up on stairs is a great plus. The main reason I wanted a new ladder was to get a long enough extension to reach the eaves of the half-story of my house. The MT-17 was not guite long enough so I went for the 22. The main disadvantage is having to manuver it into position while it is essentially fully extended. Again, the slight disadvantage in setup is compensated for by the ease of hauling it out of the garage to the area where it will be used, and not having to store a standard extension ladder. I expect I'll only need to use it in this mode three or four times a year so the storage problem is actually more important than ease of setup.I haven't had a chance to use it in the scaffold support mode, but I did do a test set-up, and it appears that it will work well for this purpose. The ladder is sturdy and well-constructed. It is very stable when properly setup, and I was comfortable and confident while using it. I highly recommend this product.

5One half the price of the Little Giant
By I. Leong
As a contractor, I use a lot of ladders.

COSCO was the first to clone the Little Giant Ladder about five years ago. Apparently, Little Giant's patent was still in force for the hinges. I own the COSCO 17FT Worlds Greatest Ladder and used it for a couple of years, but I needed something longer.

In January 2002, I purchased the Type 1 22 FT Little Giant from Amazon.com. The only difference was the hinges and a few annoying braces in the climbing area of the two narrow extension pieces of the COSCO. The COSCO is made in Korea. The Little Giant is made in USA. Both functions flawlessly to this day.

I found the Little Giant cloned at Home Depot as the Gorrila Brand ladder at Home Depot. $99 for the 13 ft model and $199 for a 21 ft model. The ladder is essentially a China made copy of the Type 1A Little Giant.

My last purchase is the MT-13 Werner. It appears to be another clone of the Little Giant Type 1A, also made in China, probably by the same company that makes the Gorilla. I know this, because both brands include a bonus set of brackets for making the scaffolding with an almost identical blow molded polyethylene case. The brackets are identical and marked Patent Pending.

I would recommend the MT-13 and the MT-17 in the Werner Brand, but I still prefer the Little Giant in the 22 ft model. It is a lighter by five pounds than the 22ft Werner but cost about $130 more.

Since all of the original Little Giant patents have expired, the hinges on the Gorilla and Werner models are identical to the Little Giant.

Of all of the models, the MT-17 would be ideal for most home owners. It will go to the second floor window of a two story house. The 22ft model will go to the roof of a two story house, but only for one with a slab foundation, not one with a basement or a crawl space.

The 17 FT model is a good balance between weight size and function. The best deal would be the Werner MT-17. The quality of materials and assembly of all the models appear nearly equal.

One reviewer noted that these ladders were hard to extend. The best method is still the method of extending the ladder using the procedure described in the Little Giant Instructional Video. Since the methods are copyrighted by Little Giant, the clone manufacturers cannot use them with their own instructions sheets, videos or manuals. Accordingly, I cannot include the Little Giant Procedure in this review.

5Just the right ladder for a single story house on a slab....

I own the COSCO 17FT Worlds Greatest Ladder and used it for a couple of years, but I needed something longer. Since the methods are copyrighted by Little Giant, the clone manufacturers cannot use them with their own instructions sheets, videos or manuals. Accordingly, I cannot include the Little Giant Procedure in this review. The 13ft. (Actual length is 11ft. 13ft is an OSHA rating, since extension ladders have overlaps.) ladder is ideal for a one story house on a slab or a trailer. When I first used it to get on a roof of such as house, I thought it was a little short. However, after using it several times, I found that it was ideal. The key is to place the space between the top and the second rung at the edge of the roof. I know that ladder makers recommend a grabbing length of three feet above the roof edge, but you would have to go around the side of the ladder's length above the roof. This "grabbing length" is a little arkward to me. Since the top of this and other Little Giant clones have flared tops, I prefer my method. I can stoop dowm and climb directly onto the roof, while keeping my center of gravity very low. The same can be done, while getting off of the roof. So the 13ft. ladder is just right. The thing I really like about this length is easy handling. It balances well, when fully extended and makes a compact package that fits nicely into a car trunk of even some compact car. In the step ladder mode, it is probably the sturdiest and safest that you could ask for.For the price, the Werner MT's are the best deal. Best of all, the MT-13 is only $99 at Lowes.
