3It's worth the money, if you get a good piece.
By Prerak Sanghvi
I got my first HS20 in the beginning of January 2004. Out of the box, it didn't start up. The lamp / cover light kept blinking, no matter what I did. Sony support couldn't help me on the phone. I returned it.

I decided to give Sony another chance. Got a second one after 2 weeks. This one had a strange problem so that if I flip the picture using the menu (needed for ceiling mounting), there would be light and dark vertical bands all across the screen. I sent it to Sony's Laredo, TX service center to get it fixed. It returned back from the service center with a change in the prizm assembly, but the original problem was not addressed at all. I sent it back to the service center, and this time around, it was fixed.

I must admit though, it has worked beautifully since then. No start up problems at all. No bad pixels. No mis-alignment of panels. Colors are amazingly real.

Out of the box, picture didn't look sharp enough and contrast definitely wasn't impressive. But after some tweaking, it is now at a level where I don't think the image is washed up. Brightness is ample - it tolerates some amount of ambient light without problems. Sony's included PJ multi cable works pretty well - I couldn't find any difference in Picture Quality using the included cable or much expensive component cables.

DVI picture using Bravo D1 is stunning. It's not HDTV but very very close. And of course, HDTV is the best. The scaler seems top notch but the deinterlacer is not stellar. Most progressive scan DVD players will have a better deinterlacer.

Remote is the worst thing on this machine. It is lighted but you have to cycle through Inputs using a single button. Same for wide mode. And it's not like you can quickly cycle - there is a noticeable time lag when switching between inputs or wide modes.

Power Lens and Zoom are quite handy during setup.

Overall, I think I'm impressed for what I've got for under 3 grand - just make sure you get a working piece.

5Better Choice than DLP / Plasma TVs
By A Customer
Ecellent Picture quality. Light in weight. Extremely high quality images with HDTV input(IO Digital cable). DVI inputs from DVDs give better-than-theatre picture quality. Component input is equally awesome. Compare it to the size, space and weight of DLP, Projection or Plasma TVs, this is and extremlely good and a great buy. I got a it for $2.8K in Dec'03. Also works great with the PC input. Overall one heck of a display. Hats off to Sony Corp.

4Gorgeous color, many inputs
By Robert Salita
Gorgeous colors from the HS-20. No screen door or fixed panel noise. Some reports of convergence problems. Many input options made this a choice over other units. Cons: you may need to buy several expensive cables ($50) for VGA analog input, HDMI port use. Also, HDMI port has poor quality when used with VOOM. May be a problem with all HDMI. DVI input (and component) looks great though. See avsforum dot com for futher discussions.

5Friends said my "face looked younger"
By A. Filskov
I read many positive (and very few negative) reviews before I ordered my first tube. I am 65 living in Florida and have been using it once daily on face and back of hands for about 4 months. The cream goes on smoothly, and I have had no negative reaction. Friends tell me that my face is noticeably younger looking, with less wrinkles. In fact two friends, based on my favorable experience, are also planning to purchase Kinerase.

5Best moisturizer I've ever used!
By Curly
I have very fair, oily, acne prone skin and have to be very careful about the moisturizers I use. I started using Kinerase cream about 8 years ago when my skin started to show the signs of aging. I had tried A LOT of products over the years and just wasn't finding anything that worked for my skin type and for my wrinkles. I finally gave in and paid the big bucks and tried Kinerase. Thank the LORD I did! I get compliments on my skin all the time. I literally get stopped by people in the store and asked what I'm using because I am in my late thirties now and have no visible wrinkles on my face, neck, or hands because that is where I use Kinerase. The key, though, is you have to keep using it! Moisturizer helps diminish the appearance of wrinkles...if you stop using it, they start showing up again! This is a thick, fast absorbing, non-scented cream that is great for sensitive skin. I use it twice a day under my eyes, on my neck, the tops of my hands, and all over my face. If you are thinking that that is a lot of cream, I'll give you a little trick to use less and make the tube last a lot longer. I dampen my hands and then add about a pea sized dot to my fingers and "thin out" the product just a bit. I then "pat" it all over instead of rubbing it in. This stretches the amount of product I am using and I only have to buy about three tubes a year. For those with dry skin you will likely have to use more product than I do, but for those with oily skin like me, try this method and you will get a lot more uses out of a tube this way.LET ME CAUTION YOU PLEASE!!! This product does not have an expiration date on the box or the tube; it only has a lot number. You CAN call the manufacturer and give them the lot number to find out the expiration date. Reputable sellers know this!!!! If you buy it from reputable skin care dealers like skincarerx, sephora, ulta, etc... you have nothing to worry about; however, if you are looking at a 2.8 oz. tube and someone is selling it for $70-$80 dollars it is probably expired and will not work effectively. I've fallen for this trick and don't want you to waste your money like I did. If the person you are buying from refuses to call the manufacturer to find out the expiration date for you, they probably know it's expired and are trying to scam you. This product should cost you around $107-$135 for the 2.8 oz. tube. If someone is selling it for less, beware!!! Try buying from skincarerx if you can't find a legit seller on amazon who will give the the expiration date. Also, if you are looking for a nice, light cleanser the Kinerase Gentle Daily Cleanser is great. I even got my husband using these two products and his skin looks much better because of it! I hope this over-abundance of information helps, and hope it works as well for you as it has for me!UPDATE: 2-28-2013They have now changed the formula on this cream and they call it Kinerase Advanced Cream. I do not like the new formula at all, and cannot recommend it. It now has a "retinol alternative" called HA3 with clinical strength kinetin. The old formula had no smell and was very gentle on your skin. The new formula has a strange smell, it burns my eyes (even though I don't put the cream near them) and it causes a bit of a stinging sensation on my face. If they changed the formula back I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but this new formula is horrible. I would not even give it one star.UPDATE: 3-20-2013I'm now using the Kinerase Ultimate Night Moisturizer. This stuff is as close as I've found to the original Kinerase Cream which I loved so much. It is a bit richer, so I just use less and dampen my finger tips to make it a bit thinner in consistency. Definitely recommend trying this! Does wonders for your under eye and neck area too. Some of the best cream I've found for those two spots. Use it morning and night!

5Great for all ages
By Mia
I have used Kinerage Cream for a number of years. My 22 year old daughter began using the product when she recently came home for a visit (she "borrowed" mine.) She is now living overseas and ran out. I received an SOS call to send her more Kinerase because her skin was going "crazy." I tend to break out from most moisturizers yet have dry skin. The Kinerase simply doesn't disappoint.

3I won't be buying this product again
By anne conlon
The serum itself is very good but the pump dispensers don't work well. I have had 2 defective pumps in the last 18 months, both breaking before even half of the serum was used. I tried getting a replacement but was told the company won't credit me for a "used" product. Too expensive to keeping throwing away so I'll look for another Vitamin C serum.

DERMAdoctor Calm, Cool & Corrected Anti-Redness Tr Product Description:

  • For all skin types, especially those with rosacea or adult acne
  • Dermatologist tested and approved; allergy tested
  • Noncomedogenic, non-irritating
  • Fragrance- and dye-free
  • No animal testing

Product Description

Rosacea is commonly mistakenly referred to as adult acne. It is not acne. Dermatologists understand that this multifactor condition is not what your teen suffers from nor is teenage medication the proper way to treat it. The most common mistake for treating rosacea-resorting to ingredients used to fight teenage acne. Salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and retinoids frequently tend to only aggravate rosacea (making skin redder and more sensitive) rather than treating the condition. That is because rosacea can include any or all of these symptoms: redness, scaling, new-onset sensitivity, inflammation, oiliness and blemishes. And since rosacea typically affects individuals between the ages of 25-65, skin rejuvenation is equally important. Yet many ingredients used in anti-aging products can irritate newly sensitive skin. These symptoms are diminished by controlling oil production, reducing inflammation, reducing cellular build-up, minimizing bacteria production on the skin and including potent, non-irritating rejuvenating antioxidants. Calm Cool and Corrected employs a sophisticated complex of ingredients to relieve all of these skin aggravations: Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid and Oleanolic Acid effectively help reduce visible signs of acne. Sebum Sequestering Micro-Particles, a form of polymer technology, help absorb excess surface skin oils without causing skin dryness. Dermatologist Tested & Approved,
Allergy Tested, Non Irritating, Non Drying, Non Comedogenic, Fragrance Free, No Animal Testing.

4Huge improvement
By Kelly Cannon Hess
I doubted it was even possible to banish the redness, but I was just desperate enough to spend the $85. For a gal who cringes at $35 for Clinique moisturizer, that's a lot of dough. But this was by far the best money I ever spent on my skin! I have self-diagnosed mild rosacea and didn't want the usual treatment of oral antibiotics (which have their own set of problems for me). With just a few dabs of this product twice daily on my nose, cheeks and chin, I'm virtually redness-free, and my occasional blemishes are reduced by about half.CC&C isn't miraculous. On infrequent occasions, I remain blotchy despite using it. This is usually when I've been under a lot of stress or have been sick. Extrapolating from that experience, I believe the greater the severity of the rosacea, the more limited CC&C's results will be.CC&C doubles as a regular moisturizer, so - unless you have extremely dry skin - there's no need to use another moisturizer over it. I wear it at night, and beneath makeup during the day, applying it only in my redness-prone areas. I save a few bucks by using my less expensive moisturizers on the rest of my face and neck. At this rate, one $85 jar lasts me about 5 months. Not too bad, when I think of it as $17 per month.

5Thank You DERMAdoctor! Changed my life.
By Jessi Hope
After trying all the drugstore rosacea products to moisturize my skin and calm the redness and itching down, I gave up hope that anything would work. I have moderate rosacea that sometimes becomes severely inflamed across my cheeks, nose, and above my nose. Some products would give me relief from symptoms for a week or so, and then stop working. I tried creams, natural and vitamin supplements, mineral creams, yoga, everything I remotely thought might help. This product is the only thing that has EVER worked, and it works quickly (drastically reduces redness within an hour usually- two hours at my worst inflammation), leaves no greasiness, and doesn't mess with my allergies. It is the most expensive beauty product I've ever bought, so it was risky, but I was desperate. I applied sparingly, maybe two or three times a week only to my cheeks, entire nose, and small area on forehead, and the jar lasted me one year exactly. I use fragrance/dye free generic moisturizer for my daily regimen, but this product is so effective I never needed to use it daily. If I could afford it, I would use it twice a day as my regular moisturizer. It leaves my skin smooth, velvety (instead of oily or dry) and free of the redness and bumps. It also dimished my acne outbreaks, which I think were associated with the rosacea, and the fine lines I was beginning to get due to the constant dryness. I love it so much that I told my dermatologist about it so that he could recommend it. Now I'm looking for a DERMAdoctor product for the severe eczema I have on the rest on my body.

3Good but expensive and there is a cheaper alternative.
By crazysmalltowngirl
DERMAdoctor Calm, Cool & Corrected 2N1 Rosacea Tx is very good for red inflammed skin, acne and it keeps your skin extremely hydrated without causing the breakouts but it is extremely expensive for not a very big jar. And if your like most Rosacea sufferers then you don't just have your face to deal with and so you use much more than just a small amount for your face daily. I have found that Noredol is slightly cheaper and it is gel based so it goes a lot further and appears to be working just as well but not quite as moisturizing. But you can use moisturizer for sensitive skin in addition and the Noredol keeps you from breaking out even though you are moisturizing.

1Didn't see any difference
By E. Gonzalez
I have noticable undereye cirlces and bought this product in the hopes it you lighten them a bit. I use this product in the mornings and evenings for several weeks. Nothing changed. I figured maybe it would take more then a few weeks to notice anything so I continued to use this product (use the entire jar, just to give it plenty of time), still not difference could be seen. For me it was a waste of money.

1Disappointment
By Bonnie O
I was not happy at all with this product. I have dark circles under both eyes which have only appeared over the last couple of years. (I am 39)...I had been hoping for a great product to lighten them a bit and this did nothing and cost a fortune. I would not recommend this product at all.

5Already noticed a big difference!
By GeoBadge
The product is a small amount of smooth gel with little 'beads' inside. For my dark circles, mostly due to chronically rubbing my eyes due to allergies and genetics, this product made a difference in a short time (about two weeks, applying twice a day with a cleansing and moisturizing routine). We all have dark circles for different reasons and this was the first product to make such an impressive impact for my case. My eye area feels soft and smooth after application, but I did notice a bit of tingling when I put it on as stated in another review. For people that rub their eyes due to allergies I can recommend this product- it is really worth the cost.

1Ouch!
By Elizabeth A. Borst
I like other Cellex C products and always thought a slight stinging just meant it was strong and effective. But the strenghth of this was alarming! It warns it is not for sensitive skin but they eye area in general is delicate. After two uses I was left with hard burned patches under my eyes which went away within a week. I do not have very sensitive skin. If you want industrial strenth eye cream this may be for you but for everyone else I'd say avoid it.

5CROW'S FEET ARE FOR THE BIRDS
By Gail Cooke
Wonder why it is that the first facial lines to appear are often around the eyes. All that smiling, perhaps? Whatever the case, no one wants those tiny lines accenting their eyes and we know that crow's feet are really for the birds!Cellex-C, an acknowledged leader in the field of anti-aging products, has developed Eye Contour Cream Plus, a light peach-colored cream that will reduce those telltale lines. With 5% L-ascorbic acid it puts to work the one form of Vitamin C that the body recognizes and uses for collagen production. For use apply to the eye area after cleansing and toning. Follow with moisturizer if desired. There may be a slight tingling sensation after the cream is applied, which is a sign that the L-ascorbic acid is being absorbed into the skin.Recommended for all but ultra sensitive skin types, this cream causes no untoward reactions such as a sensitivity to sunlight.

4Satisfied with the product
By Midwest Values
I began using Cellex C products for two reasons: 1. A woman I worked with used them, she was in her late 40's, and her skin looked fabulous, and 2.) I came across before and after photos in a magazine at a hair salon, and was impressed with the results.I have sensitive skin, and this does cause a slight tingling in the first few minutes of application which is supposed to be a normal reaction. I apply it in the morning before applying makeup, and as part of my nightly routine.I am in my late 30's, and have been blessed with a younger looking face. As such, I am using this as more a preventative than a corrective product. I'm satisfied with it's use as an undereye "moisturizer."I've also used the serum form of Cellex-C, but probably won't use it again for various reasons, including the outrageous price. I'm submitting a review of that product as well.
