5Better for the 8 and older kids
By S. Isbell
My daughter (9 years) was given this as a birthday gift and absolutely LOVED it! She has two younger sisters and so to be able to stash her cash in a secure place was very appealing. Some things I liked about it:1. Any card will work as the "ATM" card to activate the machine2. If the "PIN" number is forgotten, you just remove the batteries and it resets the machine so you can set a new PIN.3. The slot for putting in your money is just like a vending machine. It doesn't sense the value of the bill so you have to enter the amount deposited manually.4. If your child is diligent about entering the amount withdrawn when they take money out, the machine will keep a tally of your balance. For a child learning the value of money, this is a very cool feature. Some things I didn't like about it:1. There is a slot for depositing coins, which the machine CAN sense the value of. However, the coins go into the general compartment, and clank around within the compartment - would have been nice if the machine automatically put each type of coin into a certain slot.2. The vending slot for depositing bills also just stuffs the money into the general compartment. You have to open the bank every so often to ensure the bills are not getting jammed up.This is a great product for the money and I highly recommend it. It's probably better for kids 8 and up.Update Nearly One Year Later (last review was from December 2004)....Ok, so we finally had to change the batteries on this thing and of course the package instructions have long since been lost, which provide the manufacturer preset pin number. So after a few futile efforts to reset the pin, or at least get her hard earned savings out without breaking it open, we searched the internet for the manufacturer Summit Products Inc. web site to get another copy of the instructions. It was surprisingly VERY difficult to find. So you don't have to do the same leg work, here it is: www.summittoy.com. Once I got to their web site, finding and printing the instructions was quite easy and the atm is working like a champ again and my now 10 year old is quite happy!

5A great tool!!
By Ohio Mom
I purchased this for my almost 6 year old. He had no trouble figuring out how to use it and it works fairly well. It has helped him grasp the meaning of saving money to work toward a goal. It has also motivated him to want to save. He recently started receiving a weekly allowance. Now he is responsible for saving to buy toys that he wants. It has elimiated the "MOM, can I have this?" everytime we are out. After I told him a few times "Do you have money for it? Do you want to spend your money on it?" the begging has nearly disappeared! Highly recommended. The only negatives I've found are:1) The dollar bill intake does not always work - it can be circumvented by opening the safe and making a manual deposit2) Sometimes when depositing coins, if the coin doesn't go in the slot on the first try, the bank will still register a deposit. This will throw the total off. Again, a manual adjustment can be made (but only if you are aware that there was a problem in the first place).

5Technics Lives On and On....
By Armando M. Mesa
Basically a carryover of the SL 1200 M3D table (1999-2002) with a few friendly DJ minor adjustments (brighter, long life L.E.D. stylus pop up light, more antiskating for non-skipping during scratching and adjustable braking speed)...Is this Technics 'table worth it's weight in gold (I think between 30 to 35 pounds)? Without a doubt !It's built like a Sherman Tank to withstand vibrations from speakers or the dance floor which would otherwise cause the needle to skip around or transfer unwanted noise to the tonearm and out the speakers; an enclosed loop of unwanted noise. Heavy, heavy, construction of the anti-resonant plinth/chasis, platter speaks in volumes about the craftsmanship Technics puts into the "Wheel of Steel". Other than the build quality, what's the sound quality like?It can yield either professional (DJ use), near-audiophile (for that sound purist who wants to just listen to records or transfer to cd-r format) or club-quality scratching top grade sound (the direct drive motor and torque is built Chevy or Ford tough for the use and abuse).

HOWEVER, the sound quality also significantly depends upon the application the 'table is used for, whether you use a cheap $20 cartridge or the serious high quality type. Is this table going to be used for scratching, regular DJing, or just in-home use? All these factors have to be taken into consideration in getting the most out of the MK5. It is illogical to install an audiophile high end cartridge/stylus normally used for casual listening(jazz, classical, some pop/rock) if you're gonna scratch (vice versa). Simple rule of thumb---you use a DJ needle for club play and scratch and a good to excellent high grade cartridge and stylus for normal playback. It is impossible to tell you which cartridges are of substantial quality to high end because it can sometimes boil down to personal individual sound preference (some yield tight bass, some yield clear high frequencies, some sound neutral, musical, or colored---or a combo of these sound qualities)This can be costly and sometimes aggravating to figure out what to use.It takes trial and error and a bit of set up and experimentation and sound comparisons. Oh, yeah, feed the 'table some decently clean-dirt free records. Some will appreciate the dustcover sans hinges. Others would prefer actual hinges for the cover if used mostly at home.As for aesthetics, it's still the same high tech look that came about in 1979 (forget about the regular wood or mdf plinth and chasis look of the '70s so many other manufacturers used (Denon and Pioneer being the exceptions).Technics was way ahead of it's time in 1979 when creating the "looks" for this table. The same design still looks good in it's somewhat contemporary-modern design to this day.

Now listen up Panasonic/ Technics...the ONLY one request that I have is that SOMEDAY you will really and truly upgrade this particular turntable by giving it high end and fully automatic functions or features that so many in home couch potatos crave. Then, if the turntable is to be used in a dj set up, allow the owner to switch off the automatic functions to perform as a manual.Afer all, anyone who knows the history of the Technics 1200 series, this turntable has it's roots in being first designed as an in-home playback system; The clubbing,dj-ing, radio broadcasting applications came about by pure accident or simple choice! I'm not asking for much am I...Technics came close to making this turntable a successful and brilliant automatic with the SL 1700MK2 and the SL 1600MK2 back in the late 70's (semi-automatic,fully automatic). Now and then you will see these beauties on eBay up for grabs(but usually with a" buyer beware, automatic arm does not work" disclaimer. The only design flaw was a belt that controlled the auto return mechanism which would deteriorate after so much use and render the auto function useless (costly repair)...With all the focus on Technics "subtlely" upgrading about every 2 to 4 years the 1200 series they can finally use some of this state of the art modern technology for a high quality automatic/manual with no design or function issues !!!

P.S. I also highly recommend this website on Techics past and present products. It's an unofficial website that carries some awesome information on their turntables at www.vintagetechnics.com. My personal favorites and after owning some of these models over the years is anything in the SL 1200 series, the SL Q3, and the SL-5300 (this one built in 1979 was loaded with all the sweet full automatic features, bells and whistles for it's time---all of it's controls were on the outside of the cover) !

5the perfect mid priced turntable
By M. Pence
I couldn't be happier w/ my choice of the SL1200MK5. It's perfect for someone who wants great quality without spending ridiculous money. It's solidly built, and heavy, which just gives it this wonderful feeling of quality and reliability. This thing feels very precise and well thought out. I know that these turntables are the standard for DJs, and that means that they've been tested and refined over the years. They really have figured it out. From the moment I lifted the thing out of the box, I could just tell it was perfect for me. I'm a recording engineer, and wanted to complete my home stereo setup w/ good sounding vinyl. Now I'm spoiled by this thing, and am considering buying one for the studio, just to inspire me to make better sounding recordings. Also, the rubber feet are amazing at squelching vibrations from the floor. You can jump around and shake your booty all night, without records skipping on you, another advantage of it being developed for DJs.OK, you can tell I love this thing, I've said enough.MP

5It speak's for its self?
By Parris M. Hill
What more can i say? If your starting and your looking to invest your money in a sound product..1200's....If your seasoned and still spinning vinyl..than you should already know. The 1200 has stood the test of time and is going nowhere! Look for other reviews on longevity or quality and theyll point you in this direction and i have yet to regret it!

5Chantelle "Amazone" soft cup bra
By Northern SW
This is a wonderfully supportive bra, without underwires in this model, including for plus size women. This pretty bra wears a long time, so I think I get my money's worth, over time. I wash mine out in the sink, air dry it, and it lasts for years. It dries quickly. This is a repeat purchase after my old one started looking like a "gray, Saturday, at home only bra"-functional but no longer pretty. I prefer the soft cup without the underwire, as it is very supportive, comfortable, and there is no risk of a wire suddenly, painfully popping through under the arm. (There is an underwire model available, if you want one, but I know of no bra that the underwire doesn't pop through on) Being a plus size is no problem, there is plenty of support. My only complaint is Chantelle is no longer making this bra in black, which baffles me. The ivory stretch straps "grab" dark fuzzies, such as off a sweater, so I wish the company would return to making the wireless Amazone bra in black again, as well.

5A few VERY IMPORTANT points:
By Owen Oyer
Instead of gushing prosaic over how great these earphones are, I would instead like to point out a few important points.1) You will have probably noticed that there is a very great discreptancy between reviews. Some reviewers say that these earphones sound very full with rich bass, while others claim that they are very bright and tinny. The reason for this is that these earphones rely on getting a good seal with your ear canal. One of the symptoms of having a bad seal is a very steep drop-off in bass. If they sound tinny, lean, lacking in bass, thin, metallic, etc., then it is virtually guaranteed that you do not have a good seal. In reality, these earphones do tend to favor the bass quite a bit, and have a rather soft treble.2) The amount of sound isolation does not always equal the quality of the seal that you get. It is possible to have them in such a position where they isolate quite well, but they will still sound tinny. This is, once again, because they're not inserted correctly.3) A good way to insert any in-ear canalphone is to pull back and outwards on your ear to open up the ear canal, then insert the earphone as deep as it will go. This can sometimes build up pressure inside your ears, and moving the canalphone to one side to temporarily break the seal and release the excess air pressure is a good idea. Once again, the sound should be warm and bassy, not thin and metallic.4) These are high fidelity earphones. That means that feeding them 128k mp3's is not a good idea, since they will faithfully report how bad your files are. They really are at their best with lossless music, but 224k mp3's and above are a good space-saving compromise. Just don't drop below 192k. They will also show you how well or how poorly your music is recorded. A lot of modern music uses dynamic range compression in order to - theoretically, anyway - sound better on the radio. Instead, it ends up sounding much worse on high-quality equipment. With the E5c, you're at the entry point into actual hi-fi, and you will hear dynamic compression if it's there.****So, are these earphones worth it?Yes, but with the impending release of the Shure E500, audiophiles will have another earphone to call top-of-the-line. The good news is that the price on the E5c should plummet when the E500 is released. The E5c has a very warm sound which stresses the bass considerably, but remains clear and well articulated throughout the rest of the frequency spectrum. This is a very good earphone for popular music and rock. It does give up points in clarity next to the Shure E4c and Etymotic Research ER-4S, but it sounds fuller and richer than either. An alternative to the E5c is the Westone UM2. It is a similar design with two drivers, but it has a more comfortable fit due to a different enclosure shape, and it is a bit clearer in the treble, though a bit harsher. For the record, I've owned the E5c, E4c, Etymotic Research ER-4P and 4S, Westone UM2, and now the custom-molded Westone ES2. With every canalphone, the quality of your seal is paramount. If this is your first canalphone, then don't expect to get a good seal on your first try without being shown the proper procedure. Live with it for about a week, and eventually you will get it.

5The Cadillac of Headphones
By JLP
After a few years of using the ER-6 with pretty good results they started to kick out on me and I also got tired of replacing the ear wax guards. Yes, intraear headphones are not for the faint of heart but they work better than any noise reducing headphones out there not requiring batteries and permitting significantly greater outside noise reduction than the Bose. They are also considerably less bulky so you don't look like a space cadet on the subway. I purchased the Shure E5c from beachaudio and they arrived very quickly. There was also a nice discount from full price. I was impressed by the packaging and the wide selection of ear plugs you could use. They vary in size and in materials. So someone with smaller ear canals who would prefer a soft material can be as easily satisfied as someone who prefers a hard material with larger ear canals. From the selection you likely will find a pair that gives you the most comfortable fit and best sound isolation. I have found them to be quite comfortable and remarkably I receive better isolation in sound without having to shove them into my ear canal as I had with the ER-6. I can listen to my iPod at 20 percent lower volumes while on the subway. The headphones themselves sensibly fit over the back of the ears very much preventing transmitted sounds from brushing the cord against my jacket as I walk. They come with a wire loop for removing wax so no ear wax gaurds to purchase - yes I know eww but I certainly keep my ears very clean and the sound quality and sound isolation is well worth it. So what about the sound quality - in one word spectacular. They sport of wide range and are quite clear from all frequencies. The difference is the fact they use two drivers instead of one and you pay for that difference but if you are using your iPod as much as I use mine then it is worth the price - commuting time for me ranges from 40 to 60 minutes per day. If you've got the cash and love superior sound then this earphones are for you.

5Full, detailed, and beautiful sound...but is it worth the price of admission?
By Andrew
Being a gadget nut who needs the best of everything I got bit hard by the upgrade bug and sold my Shure e3c earphones to help pay for the e5cs. Seeing Amazon's wonderfully deep discounted e5cs made my upgrade path very interesting--I had to choose between the e5cs+$30 USD or the e4cs. Strictly speaking in terms of technical design the e5c seems to come out with an edge, featuring dual low-mass/high frequency transducers compared to the single low mass/high frequency transducer/tuned port combo in the e4c phones. Additionally I haven't heard (or heard anything about) the e4cs, and with it still being a relatively new product I decided to go with the "known quantity" in the e5cs. These phones have gotten nothing but rave reviews on the Internet and from a musician acquaintance of mine from work, so the choice made was that much easier. And boy howdy, was I glad I made the upgrade :). First of all let me start with the sound that comes from these earphones--unbelievable, and a huge upgrade from my e3cs. Compared to the e3cs the overall sound is much fuller, the low end much more prominent while maintaining the mid and high range detail and clarity of the former. The result is sound that is so complete and accurate that I can't imagine any other earphone or headphone being any better--which is probably inaccurate of course, but the point is that I am wholly and utterly satisfied :). I listen to all types of music from classical to synth pop and house to alternative rock (my favorite) and the sound is equally as neutral, full and detailed from genre to genre. The main device that drives my e5cs is a Cowon iAudio x5 DAP running mp3s at high bit rate (between 160 and 192 kbps), which is satisfying enough, but listening to CDs is even better and beyond words. Overall I can't say enough about how the e5cs enrich the listening experience. The other main feature of the Shure e5c is the sound isolating feature of the earphones which completely block out all external noise without the need for additional noise-canceling circuitry. As with the entire Shure line this works to the point where all sounds other than your music are completely nullified. While it makes your listening experience that much more pure and enjoyable, please be wary of your environment and what you're doing at the time. You can't do much more than listen to music with these phones on. I use them mainly for my 50 minute train commute to and from work and also for listening to music at home, so they are the perfect fit for me. These earphones will not work well for runners, skateboarders, bike riders etc. however as the noise isolation not only makes you less alert and aware of your surrounding environment but due to the isolation effect the buds can often pick up the sound of your own footsteps and breathing. If you're one of the latter an open-air design headphone/earbud would definitely work better for you.If you're not used to wearing sound-isolating earphones like the Shure line you should also be aware that these take a little getting used to wearing comfortably. They come with a fit kit that contains different size and material "sleeves" that wrap around the earphones and fit directly into your ear canal, creating a seal which completely isolates the sound and injects it directly into your ears. In other words, be prepared to have something shoved directly into your ear canal :). These aren't buds that rest in your outer ear (e.g. iPod earbuds), so be prepared for some initial discomfort. Once you get used to them (which shouldn't take long) your ears will hear the obvious difference. The fit kit has a wide range of sizes and materials as well so you shouldn't have a problem finding the right sleeve that fits you comfortably. Most people seem to like the foam inserts or the triple flanges, but I prefer the rubber flex-sleeves. Whatever solution you use you should also be prepared to do more than usual maintenance as the sleeve part goes directly into your ear canal, so regular antiseptic/alcohol pad cleaning or foam replacement is required. The last thing that should of course factor into your decision is whether or not you're willing to pay the steep price for these earphones. As I stated earlier what drew me into buying these earphones was the need to have the best. I am admittedly not a die-hard audiophile with bat ears. What I can tell you, though, is that even my relatively uneducated ears can appreciate the quantum leap these earphones are over the standard iPod/PSP/DAP earbuds. The difference really is night and day. You should also factor in how much you spend on music. If you've filled up your 30GB iPod with music then you should get quality earphones, period. Why spend all that money on music and not hear your songs they way they were intended to be heard--full, free of distortion and completely accurate? Remember, your music isn't really worth anything until it's pushed through some type of speaker or headphone -- why not have the earphones that give you the best sound possible?Granted, $350 earphones are overkill for 99% of the population, but for those who truly enjoy their music the one-time price of admission in my opinion is worth the good 5 years or more (hopefully) of the best sound possible injected right into your ears. In the end, however I wouldn't recommend these earphones to casual listeners. Casual listeners should stick with Fontopias, or the stock buds that came with your DAP. And finally those who are interested in upgrading their stock buds without making the huge investment for e5cs can give the less expensive earphones in Shure's series a try - the e2cs and e3cs would be a good place to start. You'll get a lot of what the e5c offers. Be warned, however, the upgrade bug will be lurking :).

1SO disappointed...
By Laurie
This was not my first purchase of this projector replacement lamp. It seems to be an annual purchase, so it's not like I wasn't aware of what I was getting. Unfortunately when this arrived, after placing it into the projector we were given a "Lamp did not strike...retrying" message, to which we never did meet with success. Now, at my own expense, I had to return the non working item and await a refund or replacement (which I decided not to do, in the event that I might have to return IT as well).

5great product, and Shure stands by it
By Ron Cronovich
Like many people, I was tempted by the good reviews but reluctant to pay so much for a pair of tiny earphones. Finally, almost 2 years ago, I bought a pair.Like all of the other reviews here state, the Shure E2c's sound GREAT. They are very balanced, and let you hear the subtle details of your music, making the music almost come alive in your head. They turn your MP3 player or Discman into an audiophile-quality stereo system. The E2c blocks outside noise by forming a very tight seal in your ear. In contrast, "noise canceling" earphones, such as the popular ones by Bose, do not block outside noise from reaching your ear, rather they add their own electronically generated noise which is supposed to cancel out the outside noise. I've never had good results with the various noise canceling headphones I've tried; plus, they require batteries to generate the noise-canceling noise. The E2c's block noise without batteries, and without adding any artificial noise or discoloration to your music. It works very well. I especially appreciate it at gym, on the bus or subway, and on a plane. (Warning - PLEASE don't wear the E2c's while driving or bicycling or any other time that safety requires your full attention!)The build quality of the E2c's is very good - the cord and plug are thicker and sturdier than competing earphones. For 2 years, I heavily used and abused my E2c's, especially at the gym. Literally hundreds and hundreds of times, I've plugged and unplugged them into my various MP3 players, hastily wound and unwound the cord, and tossed them into my gym bag, usually without using the protective case that comes with the E2c's. Despite the very good build quality, my heavy use led finally to a short: when the cord was wiggled in a certain way, the sound on the left side would briefly go out.I went to Shure's website and saw that they have a 2-year warranty. I sent my E2c's to Shure for repair, hoping it would be covered by warranty, but prepared to pay if Shure felt the problem was due to wear and tear (because, in fact, it was). Two weeks later, I received from Shure a BRAND-NEW PAIR of E2c's - they decided the problem WAS covered by the warranty, and wanted me to have a new pair rather than repairing my old ones!!!This is more than I expected, and will make me a repeat buyer of Shure products! I especially appreciate this level of service given the lackluster support I've received from so many other companies.

4awesome pair of phones, three caveats
By J. London
I am totally into these sound-isolating earphones and they perfectly complement my iRiver mp3 player/recorder in sound and color. Once you've gotten over their higher price point, have followed the enclosed instructions exactly and begun to use them, there is no going back to the normal, flat sounding buds. They isolate exterior noise and that is a boon if you live in a noisy environment, like NYC infamously is.Experiment with using the foam vs. the flex sleeves to your taste. I've stuck with the smallest of the three sized flex sleeves and after two days testing my ears were used to the slight increase in pressure.A warning: be careful not to turn the volume up too high in public as one needs to be able to know when her/his attention is required, among other things. Be extra aware of traffic when on the street. Also, high volume just is not necessary as ALL exterior racket (subways, curse-laden conversations and car horns) is rendered mutedly surreal. Also, be mindful of its carrying case. I've had my pair for almost a year now and the case's cable spool has bent the cord's wire covering to such an extent that it is now exposed. Far be it from me to walk around town like a super-geek w/ electrical tape on mine; I plan to replace them with one from amazon's marketplace sellers for cheaper when Santa comes around this December. But be advised to remove the interior cable spool completely and keep the headphones rolled up manually before placing them inside the case. The case is very durable, zips up securely, is nonbreakable, has a soft protective interior and is lightweight. One other observation -- use q-tips and rubbing alcohol to regularly clean the flex sleeves if you decide to use those. The foam probably would just wear out completely. Shure's website does sell replacment sleeves (both foam and flex) for $10-$12 each w/ 5 pair included, which is nice.I honestly would have given the product five stars if it wasn't for the breaking of the wire cover coupled with their already high price. The warnings above should keep yours in good working shape for years though and this is a great investment for all digital audiophiles. :-)

5Excellent product, blows any earbud away!
By J. Hutchinson
I bought these earphones for a combination of uses - travel, exercise, casual listening, etc. They are great. The noticeable background noise attenuation is perfect for flights, busy airports, mowing the lawn or anywhere you want to tune out the outside world. Bass response is very good, I'd call it neutral (which is the best thing a serious music fan can ask for.)

These earphones are very low profile and unobtrusive to wear. They do not create the fatigue I get while wearing regular headphones for a long period and the sound blows away the numerous earbuds I have tried. I use the flex fit sleeves which are very comfortable. By cinching up the sleeve on the cord, they stay in place with minimal fuss even while exercising.

I strongly recommend these earbuds to anyone who wants immersive, comfortable and excellent sound.

5The Quintessential Workbench Power Strip
By D Anderton
I mounted this power strip on my garage workbench. Six feet long with 24 outlets and integrated surge suppressor. This power strip is built like a brick telephone booth--outstanding quality. Easily mounted to the top of my workbench with three mounting clips.Note that if you do mount a strip 'against the wall' leave at least one inch of clearance. There are many DC power supplies (cell phone chargers, drill chargers, etc.) that have a bulky transformer at the plug and will be wider than the strip.

5Perfect size power strip for a long desk or work bench
By A. Doss
A few years ago, I had built a custom editing workstation and bought a 5' power strip that I bolted underneath the desk to easily plug in monitors, drives, and the occasional peripheral. The cheap strip I had used, was a pain, as when you pull plugs out, the outlet would literally pull itself from the metal casing of the power strip, exposing wire, etc. I'm looking to redo my editing station and the first upgrade was for the power strip. This Tripp Lite power strip is way better than the cheapo brand. 6 feet long, it's perfect for an 8' long desk or bench. The metal casing is a beautiful, strong "aluminum" looking finish. The black outlets are secure to the case. The long power cord is great and the built in surge protection is a nice bonus. I can't get over the quality build of this product...it's solid, lightweight, and holds the plugs really well. There's enough space between outlets to handle the large power bricks, without blocking another outlet.Overall, simple product, that's made really well.

5Plenty of space for most AC adapters
By Christopher
A perfect power strip for my entertainment center. The plugs are oriented parallel to the strip, meaning that the largest of ac adapter plugs will cover more than one outlet, BUT, the majority of them do not (for example, cell phone adapters).

4HTPC MOBO
By Greg Hall
I have two of these boards. Both with Athlon 2000 Palamino CPU's. Yes it is fussy with memory. I found Samsung memory to work well. It makes a fine microatx based HTPC because of the NForce chip. The onboard NForce audio is good enough for me for HTPC use unless you have a multi speaker sound system. Also using a Gigabyte 6600 fanless video card and two PVR-250MCE cards, twin Samsung Spinpoint 250GB HD's. If you can find one, it is a good board if you find memory it likes.

5Nice lighting fixture - decent price, too
By buffalobill45
Well constructed, and will look good in our kitchen, although I wish that the glass globe wasn't as 'marbled' as it is. (it's not that obvious in the shipper's image of this fixture).Good value for the price. Free shipping a plus. Will shop w/ Lamps PLus (thru Amazon) again. . .

3great for medium heat, not so great for high heat
By J. Wang
I was really excited to get the scanpan wok. However, I have found some pros and cons. What I really like: it is a really good non-stick pan, you can cook over medium heat, with no oil at all, and food cooks evenly and slides right out as if it is on a slick surface. I cooked this way for several times.Con: Then one day I used high heat to stir fry with a 2 tbsp of oil, the pan never performed as well afterwards. After using it on high heat just ONE time, the pan has a tendency to stick slightly. Always have to use more oil later, in order to get non-stick.Since I use it more for stir fry than stews, this pan is now relegated to the pantry.I think for the exorbitant $$$ cost, other woks that are cheaper perform better. If you cook only over medium heat, this is a FANTASTIC buy.If you stirfry often and need very high heat, this is NOT a good choice.

5Hot Danish Wok
By Island Cook
We have an entire set of ScanPan and consider it the best cookware we have ever owned in terms of function. When the stir fry pan was introduced we had to have one. This is now the pan of choice for stir-fry and for cooking things like chowders, stews and chili. It conducts heat evenly with no hot spots, it cleans up easily with a paper towel. There is really no reason to put it through the dishwasher since it wipes clean with a sponge or paper towel. It is absolutely the best non-stick surface with which we have ever cooked. We highly recommend the ScanPan brand of cookware and especially this multi-function pot.

5One of my ENDURING favorites
By A Customer
Mine is over 15 years and still looks and works like new! This is a uniquely valuable pan. You can crank up the heat to high, cook quickly with assurance of smooth even heat, then rinse it under the fawcet to swish absolutely clean while it's still hot. AMAZING. No risk of warping or damage. No problem with sticking. And because of its density and superior conductivity, NO problem with burnt foods. While I love my LeCreuset, it can't handle high heat. Scanpan is a natural for things that like high heat. If you haven't tried this brand yet, this pan would be the one to try first.
