Perfect bag for a Leica M9 and friends

I love this bag!It's small on the outside, but safely and conveniently holds my entire walk-around kit. Just a little fidgeting with the movable interior dividers and I've got it set up to hold a Leica M9 with lens attached, three additional lenses, a small Metz flash, a Manfrotto pocket tripod, spare cards and batteries, plus my iPad.The quality of the materials and construction are absolutely top notch. You can tell when you get your hands on this thing that it's built to last a long time.

Excellent value. Works as advertized. At 100 yds. could see where I had shot with 3x9 scope but recommend spotting scope. This particulair set is a bit 'busy" having the center bullseye and 4 smaller bullseyes which make initial sighting in bit more difficult. Is excellent for comparing differant ammo. At hint to extend use: after using color in yellow holes with a black sharpie and over the rear with tape. At 100 yds you cannot tell difrerance and chance of hitting same exact hole is small.

sight in targets

these are the best targets for sighting in your rifle. Hits are easy to see through your scope w/o need for a spotting scope at 100 yds. just wish they were a little less expensive.

Great Target

I always wondered why the self-adhesive back until I went to the range on a gusty day. Everyone with stapled targets had to replace them often due to the wind. The Shoot-N-C targets stayed in place. The color splash at the point of impact gives instant easy to see confirmation of each shot. The pasters work well and having 5 target areas per sheet reduces the need to replace targets all the time.

The 303SPH is a multi-row panoramic photography head. It has sliding plates to locate the camera over the panoramic axis of rotation, plus a sliding plate which rotates around the front/back tilt axis. The right tool for the job

This panoramic head is sturdy and effective. The manufacturing is solid and Bogen provides the high quality that they are known for.PROS: The right head for spherical Multi-row images.CONS: For the price, it should include a leveling bubble. Luckily my Bogen 3021BPRO tripod has one so it is not really missed. The head is heavy and bulky. While this may not bother some, I tend to lug my equipment around on my back while walking around. The head folds up well for its design; however knobs still stick out awkwardly for packing in a camera bag.Even though the CONS might seem to outweigh the PROS, they don't. This head is the right tool for the job.

Amazing panorama head

If you are looking for a perfect, sturdy panohead and if you don't mind about the weight 303sph is the best. I have both nodal ninja 3 and 303sph. I can definitely say that 303sph is much better than nn3.PROS of 303SPH :303sph is much more sturdierYou can easily set the click stops in 303sph with a single boltYou can easily slide the rails back and forth.Cons of 303sph :Big and heavyPros of NN3 :Light.Perfect for compact cameras.Cons of NN3 :Doesn't feel sturdyYou have to disassemble the part at the bottom and put another plate inside to set different angles for click stops.If you want to make fine adjustments it is impossible. Because, you tightly screw the knobs and after you unscrew it the camera mount stuck on to the rail because of the rubber part between the rail and the knob. So you have to push the camera really hard to make the rubber part detach from the rail.Last knob that you screw the camera, it is so narrow and almost same size with the rail, so there is no way to screw it tightly, or unscrew it if you managed to screw it.Ok, NN3 might not be the direct competitor of 303sph, may be NN5 is, but if you are planning to use your panohead with a DSLR like D3 or D300 with a battery grip, I will definitely recommend you to buy 303sph.

Functional, but not perfect

I've been using a home made pano head for about a year, and I've also been looking at the Really Right Stuff head, so that is what I'm comparing it to.The construction is pretty heavy duty. After moving, vibration settles down much quicker than it did with the home made rig. About the heaviest combo I've put on it is a 5D Mark 3 with a canon 16-35 f2.8 II, and there is no sagging. So from a strictly functional perspective, it does the job well.It uses it's own type of mounting plate. The plate has rubber on the bottom to help grip, but there is no mechanical ridges or curves to keep it straight or centered. I used it once with this plate and didn't see any sagging or shifting. However, I didn't like that to attach it requires eyeballing to ensure it's straight and you need to remove any existing plates or L brackets. I'd really have liked a connector that just clamps down on an arca swiss style plate. I think the RRS head does this, but it was twice the cost. The kit comes with a couple of shorter rails meant for P&S cameras. They are exactly the same as the mounting plate minus the rubber. A little time with one of the shorter rails, a dremel tool, and a drill was enough to make a plate that mated to my RRS camera plate. Now it lines up perfectly every time, I don't have to remove my existing plate, and there is metal lip that keeps it from rotating.The markings could use some work. There are a couple of places where a single line on the plate or bracket would help center it on other attachment sites. I end up using other marks (e.g. it's 55mm in one direction and 55mm in another direction) instead of a single spot. Additionally some of the places that are marked are in places where you can't see the numbers on the rail. You have to use the edge of the bracket instead of the big white arrow that was intended. None of these are big problems, but just refinement issues.The clamp that does the rotation around the horizontal axis is so far forward that it's in the field of view of my fisheye. For quick panos, 3 shots with the fisheye was always a nice option, but probably not with this head. Maybe with more shots and the right post workflow, I could get the clamp out of the image, but if I've got to shoot more shots anyways, I might as well just shoot with a wide angle and not deal with the post issues.I like the mechanism for positive stops rotating around the vertical axis. You simply move a screw to the appropriate labeled hole and each click is the selected number of degrees. The horizontal axis rotates nicely, but with enough stiffness that it will hold without locking it down so you aren't working to keep it straight while you lock it down.Two of the screws that you might adjust in the field (adjust positive stops and unfold/fold the arm) are cabled to the head so you won't drop and lose them. That's a nice touch. The screw (1/4 or 3/8ths) that attaches the plate isn't of course, but the plates are key holed so it's likely the screw will stay with the plate if dropped.Sliding the plates to adjust them to the nodal point is challenging when doing fine adjustments. Moving 5-10mm is easy. Just bumping it 1 is a fiddly thing. A fine adjust dial would have been nice, though of course would have added cost.The finish on the plates and rails seems to be pretty soft and comes off easily.

Great target for practice arrows. Not so good for broad heads but not many targets are! I bought it along with the wheeled stand. Now my grandson and I can practice as much as we want because we can wheel it in and out of the garage by ourselves.

Impressive Product

Regarding the inability for this to allow vertical rotation of the camera, I ended up installing a panning Arca Swiss clamp which gives me this functionality.Pros:* Solid and well built* Supports number of different camera and lens combinations* Adjustable index notches for panning as an option (can use as non-indexed panning if desired)* Both quick and fine adjustments* Secure quick release plate* Holds heavy DSLR with battery grip and pro lensCons:* Large and heavy* Only dissasembles into a couple, bulky pieces which I have to dedicate a separate bag to carry* Does not have any self-leveling feature* No vertical camera rotation ability

Works great, its not the weak link in the process....

Even with my small sony pocket camera, the system works great. The hardest part is dialing in the right offsets to get that pivot point properly placed. Through the use of a quick-detach plate I've got my head mounted to my 3 way pan-tilt as a leveler.The thing is solid as a rock, which is great. The weak link is the pano software which I'm yet to find some that works the way I expect it to.

Canon i475D a great printer, a great buy

About three months ago I bought an HP photo printer which was fairly well rated. I was somewhat disappointed in the quality of prints from my digital camera and wondered whether my 3 megapixel camera would ever produce great photos at home. Several weeks ago Buy.Com offered these printers for $39; I couldn't resist temptation and bought one. Having now printed more than 100 photos, I'm not thinking I need to go somewhere to get my photos printed. Forget HP and high ink prices. My Canon 475D produces exceptional photos and the ink is cheap; I just bought 2 black and 2 color replacement ink cartridges for around $19; and I'm only about 60% through my original cartridges. I'd buy another one of these in a hearbeat, great value.

much more than i expected!

i was looking for a photo printer that takes the memory stick directly with a price less than $100. Using Amazon's reviews i located a similar Canon printer (there were no reviews of this model yet) and, based on price, selected the i475D. WOW! The prints are great, which is the first consideration for me. Crisp, clean, true in color, in short, everything i hoped for when i decided to start doing my own prints. Yesterday i printed six 8x10s and two dozen 4x6s and the ink gauge shows that i still have half a tank. All these photos are from my digital camera, yet there is no way that i can tell that they didn't come from my beloved Canon SLR, and i am VERY picky. i also printed an 8x10 b&w from a scan, and this printer corrected flaws that my other printer simply couldn't.

The software and documentation are first-rate. There are two manuals, one a quick-and-dirty and the other more detailed, and they complement each other. The printer software is intuitive and easy, and it dovetails seamlessly with my favorite viewer, IrfanView. And there is plenty of capacity for playing with the settings to get specific effects if that's something a person is interested in doing.

The convenience of printing precisely which shots and the number i need is well worth the rather minimal cost of getting set up with a photo printer, especially considering the time that i don't spend fooling around with making reprints at the photo store. i recently took candids at a wedding and used this printer to make sets of prints especially for each set of friends without all the bother of getting the film developed, selecting the prints and quantities, then trekking to the shop for reprints.

i'm moved to write this review because of all the times i've been burned with electronic equipment and because of all the assistance i've gotten from Amazon product reviews. This is one product that has everything i expected and a good deal more. i'm going to be happy with this printer for a very long time.

Great printer!!!!!!!

This is the best printer ever!!!!! It definatly lived up to my expectations. I always used to use just a regular printer for my photos and i hated the lines that were left on the pictures from the printer. This makes the pictures sooooo clear, from only a 2.1 MP camera! The best part is it prints directly from memory cards so you don't even have to go through the computer to get the pictures. It works with Compact flash, smart media, memory stick, secure digital and mulimedia. It is also extremely easy to use! I thought the directions were very easy to understand. All in all if your thinking of buying a photo printer buy this one!

needs less salt

I've used this product for a number of years, I was glad when they came out with the less salt less oil. Still there is too much oil I cut it in half and use it with popcorn I buy at Costco. I also cut the salt this is really salty if I use all the salt that comes with the package.

Excellent Printer for the price!

I just recently received the Canon i455 printer as a gift. This is my 3rd photo printer to date. I am very pleased with the print quality I get from this printer. It is reasonally fast and best of all the ink cartridges are very inexpensive compared to other printers I've used. I have used both Lexmark & HP printers as well. Both of them printed well also. The lexmark was very slow to get good quality & the HP was both fast and had good quality, but both of them used very expensive ink cartridges. I don't know yet how long the ink will last in the Canon, but I will be printing a lot more photos than I used to simply because I will not worry about the cost of the ink used.

I would recommend this printer to anybody interested in getting a good photo printer without having to spend a lot of money!

...It is anamazing printer. Photos are superb although I did notice a slightgreenish tinge in some photos. Text priting is crisp. The printer is quite fast - I printed a dense, 30 page paper in about 3 minutes.If you find this for [$] don't think twice. It is well worth the money.

Thought I would upgrade, but nothing beat my i455

I bought this printer with a Canon digital camera in an inexpensive bundle. I quickly outgrew the camera, so I figured I had to upgrade my printer as well. I tried a few other printers which were highly touted by the imaging gurus, but they didn't do any better than this one. I don't know how much I would have to spend to beat my i455.However, the aftermarket inks that I have tried are really bad, so I stuck with Canon inks and my results were much better.

This popcorn is as good as it says. Just just follow the directions! I use it in my West Bend 82306X Stir Crazy 6-Quart Popcorn Popper. We all love the results. The corn is so tender and tasty.

I have to say that this is even better than the theater because now days many theaters don't pop their popcorn fresh anymore. I have seen them bag it up in large plastic bags and use it the next day or later that day. I highly recommend this popcorn as well as the Whirley Popper. Once you have had this popcorn you will never go back to the microwaved stuff!! :-) Also, try the big container of popcorn oil that is made by Whirley Pop. It is only $10.49 and lasts for quite a while. I just melt that down and put it over my popcorn for an extra buttery taste.

This is the best popcorn ever! Tastes great and each packet comes with it's own special oil and salt packets. We use it not only in the popcorn machine but on the stove top. Either way it tastes great!

Great GPS - Lousy Map software

I have used both this bluetooth model and the older cabled one with my iPaqs (3600, 3800, and 5555). The bluetooth model works like a charm with my 5555. I have never lost connection between the iPaq and the GPS, However the software (mapping program) is without a doubt a piece of junk. I have talked with a Pharos tech and he aqreed that is not very user friendly. It is like they finished making the GPS device and then said oh oh we need a mapping program and just threw one togeather.Definitly buy this device but wait for MS Streets and Trips next version which is suppose to support Turn by Turn voice commands on the PocketPC's. (heck they might even package the pharos with the software. Hint Hint. Nudge Nudge).

Pretty good for the cost

Liked the Pharos very much and I use it with my IPAQ 5550. My only base reference is the Magellen Hertz never get lost that I have used twice earlier which was very good.Pros:1. No connectivity problems, easy to connect.2. Splitter to charge both units at the same time.3. Nice options and modes. The bird's eye view, tho' not graphically that attractive, serves the purpose and is even nice to show off.4. Not bad at all as a personal GPS. Was pretty useful to me in SFO downtown and in NYC to get my bearings. Store all your points in advance, use the multi-point feature and an Extended battery pack.Cons:1. Auto reroute takes a bit of time. If you miss a highway exit at 65mph it will start to auto-reroute after a mile. Not good if there are close exits.2. The map software -Ostia- is not as bad as mentioned in previous reviews -I found it pretty good- misses specific street level maps.. Very rare, nothing that cannot be rectified by a later update.3. Sometimes, u exit from a highway and since the road may be going close to the highway, it takes a while to figure out that one is not on the highway anymore. But possibly true of all GPS devices.4. Maps are just huge and you will need a 4GB card if you go out for a long road trip and your laptop to transfer the maps. (Full US maps is 35GB) Probably true of all mapping software!

Got me there when I needed to be there.

Right on accuracy. Ostia software has it's ups and downs but all the GPS units take some getting used to. The biggest issue is how to enter your destination. Ex. North Seneca St. or N. Seneca St. or Seneca St, N. Eventually you figure it out. No problem w/the blue tooth and my HP IPAQ 4705 works well with it but at times when restarting you may have to do a soft reboot. For approx. $300 you can't go wrong. Make sure you get the new Ostia Software version 7. The updates should be worth it. I especially like the auto re-route if you miss the right turn. It really does get you there within 3 meters.

Top Quality & a Pleasure To Use

I burned up a 6" Milwaukee that was quite new, so bought one of these. I used this machine on the same job and the motor barely got warm, whereas the Milwaukee was getting too hot to hold without gloves, then smoked and fried. It seems to run smoother as well. A real workhorse for heavy users. If you want to use a grinder heavily without burning it out, this is worth the extra money!

Quality

This tool is exceptionally well made with plenty of power and nice features such as the soft start and multiple locations for additional hand support. The blade guard is easily adjustable and the quick disk change is another nice feature. We use these grinders at work and they are work horses for their size. They also have an over heat protection that shuts down the motor till it cools but it takes a great deal of work to cause this. Great product.

Love the glasses, need better quality control

I purchased this set as a Christmas gift. While I love Riedel glasses, and Amazon always has such good deals, the first set I received had two shattered glasses. A replacement set was quickly sent, but the Chardonnay glass in that set had chips and dents in the rim, as if they forgot to polish the rim. Amazon wouldn't let me get another replacement set, so I just returned it for a refund.

Handle with care!!!

The set was a birthday gift, and I'm amazed at how different wine tasted when served in these glasses! The only drawback: they give the word "fragile" new meaning! Handle VERY carefully during cleaning; I applied just a bit to much pressure and literally snapped the bowl of the glass. While I like the set, I am almost afraid to use it. I save these glasses for special occasions and tasting.

Fragile but exquisite

Yes they are delicate, but these are not meant for the raucous frat party. These are serious hand-blown pieces of art (and science). If you enjoy wine for its redolence and taste and wish to enhance your experience, these are the best. They are so beautiful that you will display them as well as drink from them. You will treat them gently and they will more than reward you with the greatest experience an oenophile can have.in vino veritas.....
