Not exactly as advertised.

I wanted a bookcase in the 16 to 18 inch width range, but could not find any that I liked so I settled for this one advertised as 14 inches in width. Unfortunately once I got them assembled (I bought two) I found they were only 12 inches wide with 10 inches of space for books. On the positive side they are good looking, well built bookcases and they arrived much sooner than the estimated date.

Great Bookcase for the price!

This bookcase shipped faster than the 6-12 days and exceeded my expectations. It was taller than I had imagined, which was great! It's solid hardwood, not flimsy particle board and it goes together really quickly and easily. It doesn't look cheap at all and I really liked that wooden screw caps were included to make it look that much nicer. For the low price, this was an excellent buy!

A Writer's Dream

I've had this printer for a couple years. It's been...three computers. I use it oddly--it might not be turned on for a month or more, then suddenly I want it to spit out a 500-page manuscript. And it DOES. It's never jammed or given me any kind of issues. I have Vista (Home Basic) on this latest computer and I haven't had a problem.HP makes some fantastic printers. This is one of them. I'm so sad they aren't selling this anymore, because I tell all my writer friends to buy this!

Nice, inexpensive printer

I'm basing this review on my "pre-Vista" experience. This printer is not really supported by HP for Vista (even though they say it is). It has not been reliable since I upgraded to Vista.Vista issue aside, I love this little printer. The first-page out is relatively quick and overall printing is fast. The text is sharp and clear. The printer is small and pretty compact, so it can sit almost anywhere. I have had no problems with paper handling (although I have not done much with envelopes and the like). The printer has a manual sheet feed which can come in handy for labels, etc. No fancy features here-- just a good basic printer that's easy to use. Toner cartridges seem a bit expensive, but I've found that to be the case with pretty much any printer.

Fantastic little laserjet!

I have had this printer for three years and have found it to be very reliable. It's truly a workhorse. The print quality is excellent, as are the graphics, if you don't mind grayscale or black and white. I'm using Windows 2000, so I can't tout it's compatibly with Windows XP or Vista, however I can say that it is Linux compatible. I have run it with Slackware (versions 10.1-12), Knoppix 3.4, Fedora Core (versions 2-4) and Uubuntu 7.4 and have had no trouble in either (depending on the Linux distribution) configuring it or having it be detected by the operating system. I will also say that it prints some fine professional quality envelopes. I am so happy with this printer's performance, that I'm ordering a new (well, new to me) one as a backup. This is an excellent quality printer that will convince you that laser printers are the way to go if you need a printer with power.

Great price &Table is beautiful

Table is solid wood construction. no defects. easy 2 put together, maybe 15 mins max. and can be done with one person. Only assembly is of 2 shelves and 4 legs to top section. Stable/solid once screws are tightened. It is around 60lbs once assembled. Extra screw and washer provided. 2 drawers come fully assembled and installed in top section of console table. Great product!

A Caliornia and Western Tradition since 1921

See's Candy has been a California tradition for 80+ years. There Chocolates and Candies are of the best quality with none of the junk that you find with other chocolates and candies. Once you have had See's you will never think of store bought candies and chocolates the same way again.I ordered my Gift of Elegance and got it in a week. It was amazingly good as usual. I made it last a week with family and all.Once you try See's candy you'll understand why there are so popular out West.

To our taste these chocolates are on a par with far more expensive ones in glittery gift boxes.

We often take them as hostess gifts (hoping, of course, that said hostess will immediately open them and pass them around.)

Excellent but not outstanding chocolates

See's Candies is a well-known San Francisco chocolate company, now with stores throughout the United States. In California, the lines to buy chocolate can snake out the door. I've had See's Candies many times, most recently this assortment, and while See's makes an excellent product, the chocolate coating could be richer in flavor. Still, these confections are above average; they easily outclass ordinary brands such as Russell Stover and Whitman's with fresher and more flavorful fillings.

Anyone receiving a box of See's Candies for a gift knows that an extra effort has been made. Although they aren't the best I've had, they certainly rank up there with the finest chocolate assortments available in a box.

Fantastic value for cost

This is one swank looking piece when assembled. It looks like a piece in the $600-$1000 range -- just so long as you don't open the drawers. The give away that it's merely a fine veneer over cheap pine is that the screw-holes in the sides of the drawers are screamingly obvious.Assembly of this piece is required: it involves the driving of 89 screws. I highly recommend using a power screwdriver for this project; I didn't, and it took a friend and I 2 hrs to drive all the screws by hand (and I have the blisters today to prove it.) Additionally, you have to set an equivalent number of pegs; this is not that hard, but a hammer helps immensely (you'll need a hammer to drive some nails, too). The combination of pegged construction and wood screws results in an extremely sturdy unit. Unlike a lot of assemble-it-yourself furniture, this unit, when you've got it together, is real furniture: absolutely solid and never coming apart again, except by means of an axe.The drawer pulls are wooden rails; for wooden rails, they fit very well and the drawers pull as easily as one would expect without hardwear. The bottom of the drawers and the back of the unit are some sort of press board. The un-veneered surfaces are pine which has been stained to match; the veneer is wonderfully lustrous.The number of screws and pegs included in the kit is exactly the number necessary. There are NO spares. Do not drop and lose any.The instructions are reasonably clear. The packaging is phenomenal. The entire box was lined with styrofoam and plywood to make sure if something poked into the box, it wouldn't hurt the veneer. Sheets of foam protect the veneer surfaces from one another. The compartmentalized labeled pouch for the fittings was great.The instructions said it would take about 30 minutes to put together. It took me and another person an industrious 2.5 hrs to uncrate and assemble this beast -- that was putting in the screws by hand. A power screwdriver will make that go a lot faster.

Super Shopper

First. the other reviews were not kidding about the screws. I have two to put togeather. I did the first by hand yesterday. Tonight...I will be using my power drill. Just to give you an idea, there are 7 drawers. Each drawer has 6 or 7 drill holes. That's 42 screws with just the drawers done! The cabnet has about 16 pre drilled holes. Thats 58 and counting! The top of the chest has 4 holes and you also need to put on the knobs,one each, another 7. That's a whopping 69 screw and there may still be some I'm forgetting to mention.If you really want this piece and it is very pretty, do yourself a favor...buy, borrow or beg for a power drill. Your arms and hands will thank you.

This looks like a decent piece of furniture for a put it together yourself job. Nice color. Draw stops. Fairly easy to assemble, just time consuming.
