Product Description
The 303PLUS advanced panoramic photography head is built around the 300N pan rotation unit, with sliding plates for nodal point positioning and an elbow bracket to allow the camera to be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation. It incorporates precise geared movements of the two sliding plates used to locate the camera over the panoramic axis of rotation, adding greater accuracy to nodal point positioning. The micro-positioning plates provide extremely precise fingertip adjustment via a gear drive system; a release button disengages the gear drive to facilitate rapid movement of the plates when required. The plates are also longer than those of the 303 head, which helps to make this head suitable for use with larger traditional or digital SLR cameras equipped with standard or wide angle lenses, or for medium format cameras. Impressive Product

Regarding the inability for this to allow vertical rotation of the camera, I ended up installing a panning Arca Swiss clamp which gives me this functionality.Pros:* Solid and well built* Supports number of different camera and lens combinations* Adjustable index notches for panning as an option (can use as non-indexed panning if desired)* Both quick and fine adjustments* Secure quick release plate* Holds heavy DSLR with battery grip and pro lensCons:* Large and heavy* Only dissasembles into a couple, bulky pieces which I have to dedicate a separate bag to carry* Does not have any self-leveling feature* No vertical camera rotation ability

Great addition for those interested in photographing panoramas. Works like a charm. Easy to use. A bit heavy to carry around however, but strongly recommended.

Even with my small sony pocket camera, the system works great. The hardest part is dialing in the right offsets to get that pivot point properly placed. Through the use of a quick-detach plate I've got my head mounted to my 3 way pan-tilt as a leveler.The thing is solid as a rock, which is great. The weak link is the pano software which I'm yet to find some that works the way I expect it to.
