Product Description

The OBH-11 is a miniature audio amplifier, designed specifically to drive a single pair of low to medium impedance (30 Ohm -300 Ohm) headphones from a line level source.

The OBH-11 is compatible with any source at line level. For example: an average output level CD player can be connected directly to the input of the OBH-11, just as it could also be used in conjunction with a stand-alone pre-amplifier or integrated amplifier which doesn't have a headphone output.

Creek has re-engineered the casework of the old OBH 11, so the front panel is now much thicker and has rounded corners, new style graphics and the metal logo found on the more expensive Creek products. It is ONLY available in black and is an addition to Creek's range of popular headphone amplifiers.

Creek has designed this to simplify the requirements for OBH products used in all countries. It is supplied with a selection of snap-on power plugs and since it is capable of working from a range of mains voltages from 100 - 240V's, we are confident it will make life a lot easier for everyone.

We have compared the performance with that of the OBH-2 and feel that it is a good replacement. Furthermore, since it no longer works at mains frequencies (50-60Hz) it will not interfere with high gain circuits like the Phono amplifiers and it also does not draw current when connected to the mains but not being used.

  • Output Power > 10 mW into 30 ohm / 300 ohm loads
  • Headphone Impedance 30 ohm to 300 ohm

  • Power Consumption < 4 VA
  • Power Supply Requirement 24V DC 150mA (Uni-OBH)
  • Weight 3Kg

    5Who needs Speakers?
    By Kevin M.
I've used this headphone amp two years and it's great. So good, that it becomes difficult to listen to music any other way. I have to admit, I once thought it to be silly investment, but after borrowing a friend's headphone amp, I broke down and purchased one for myself. There was a slight break-in period, maybe 40 hours, but it was well worth it. I've used it in a few different ways, (ipod, home theater, CD, and finally with computer files. I have two pairs of headphones, Sennheiser HD-595 Premier Headphone and AKG K 701 WHITE HEADPHONES and they both work wonderfully with the Creek. Mate this headphone amp with a DAC and sit back and enjoy. Oh yes, it will play loudly, I rarely get it above 10 o'clock.

    4Good Buy
    By Richard K. Ziegenfuss
The majority of headphone amplifiers are far more expensive than this one. The Creek does exactly what I want, including an output to another amp for a second person. Very satisfied.

5like magic in my ears- am i in heaven?
    By Ricardo95
I bought the obh-11se years back paired with a sennheiser hd580 with cardo blue cables and grado rca wires. Needless to say this was my "system". I used this with my friend (2 jacks) to listen to a lot of live recordings on CD demos for Latin bands that we commented on for tweaking- and all my CD's and recordings.I'm an audio nut. I'll say this, you may have NEVER heard music as this plays it. I had a friend try it with my set up and he wanted to cry he said from the way the music felt and sounded. For digital recordings you hear any imperfections in the engineering and the bass is tight and no too boomy- this wasn't made for that. If you're like me and cross all spectrums then this will work. Classical music and live rock are insane. You hear the violin strings being stroked and feel like you're there on Mozarts Ode to Joy, the guitar strings being plucked on Zeppelin's dwy'er- you can almost see Jimmy Page's fingers! Latin Music is all recorded with many instruments and i could hear the drummers gliding hand's off the conga drums. It's that deep. But you also hear any imperfections in the recordings like I said. Musically the best investment I made along with my headphones. Any amp u buy, or 99%, DO NOT have sufficient power to make you're high quality headphones sounds as they should. Good analogy is buying some expensive speakers in your car rated at 100WRMS but your amp feeds them 40WRMS. You do NOT get to appreciate the speakers because of lack of power. Oh you can crank the volume but you're missing out on so much of the music If you listen solely to hip hop these ARE NOT for you as that's all digital music. But if you like classical, jazz, Latin, Live recordings, let this take you to musical heaven
