The highly concealable Jak Slide, originally named by "The Famous Jackass Leather Company," carries the pistol between the belt and pants. The belt is inserted through the exterior belt slots, resulting in a holster that pulls the pistol in close to the body for easy concealment and excellent comfort. This open-top holster is fast and smooth on the draw, while belt pressure keeps the pistol very secure. The open-muzzle design is a favorite of those who own multiple barrel lengths of the same handgun model. If you need real concealment with a serious pistol, but prefer to avoid an inside the pants holster, the Jak Slide is a great option. Constructed of premium saddle leather, the Jak Slide fits belts up to 1 3/4". Made for semiautomatic pistols, the Jak Slide is available in right or left hand designs in tan or black finish.

You can't even tell you have a holster on when you take the pistol out of their matches a brown belt very well or black belt very well I have one for my Browning hi power and my colt 1911.

Wrong size

This review is not about the holster itself as I never got a chance to properly use it. Jak Slide holsters come in several different sizes and styles identified by a manufacturers model number. Unfortunately the Amazon listings do not use a model number so there's no accurate way of determining whether you are ordering the right size. The ad indicated I was buying a holster sized to fit a 1911 Colt, Kimber, Springfield, etc. The holster that arrived was way too small to fit any medium or large frame pistol.
