Combat grip accessibility, essential for speed, rounds out this most versatile of inside the pants holsters. Constructed of premium natural color horsehide, the Royal Guard fits 1 3/4" belts, with an optional belt channel that fits 1 1/4" belts. Made for semiautomatic pistols and double-action revolvers, the Royal Guard is available in right or left hand designs in natural finish. Optional tan or black belt channels, easily installed by the user, fitting belts of 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" are available and sold separately.

Nice IWB Holster

I was skeptical in the beginning on using an IWB holster. However, after using the Galco Royal Guard for a few weeks with my Glock 27, I can honestly say that this is the most comfortable and concealed way I've found to carry this weapon. (I started carrying at first behind the hip, but now carry mostly in the appendix position). This holster also has excellent retention without the use of a screw and you can easily re-holster the weapon with one hand as the horsehide strip of leather at the top keeps the mouth of the holster opened. Again, this is a great holster especially for the Glock 27!

Better holsters out for the money

First of all the holster is very high quality, everything about it feels luxurious. I could just never get it comfortable enough to carry my Glock 27.It's also very expensive compared to similar holsters, it's double what I paid for the Crossbreed (which works like a champ)See if you can get your hands on one in a gun shop, I know some people who absolutely swear by the Royal Guard.
