5Please learn from our mistake so your child is not injured.
By K. Griffith
We bought this playhouse for our daughter for Christmas this year, and it is by far her most favorite toy. She loves to go in and out the door and ring the doorbell. She also loves the little shelves. (She places her Fisher Price people on them.) I can see her playing with this for a long time yet. It is small, but is what I expected after reading reviews. I can get in it and sit cross legged on the floor with her for tea parties. The thing that I did not even think about her doing is climbing in and out of the windows. The side windows aren't too big a deal, but that back window is. It is very small, but she climbs up on the benches, stands on the table, and climbs through the back window. I decided to push the house up against the wall in hopes that would curb her climbing out that higher window. It did until today. Today, she climbed out that window, and fell behind the house. She was pinned between the house and the wall of our living room, and landed in such a way that she had her head bent enough to occlude her airway. We got to her immediately, and she is ok. My advice is, if you have a climber, don't push this house next to a wall. If we hadn't been in the same room, this could have had a horrible outcome. My husband and I are very safety conscious, but we did not think about entrapment. Of course it is very obvious now that I am writing this.Overall, this is a fun, sturdy product that I would purchase again. Just leave some space around all sides of it for the safety of your busy toddler. I am giving it five stars because it is a great product, and the safety issue we had is not the fault of the manufacturer. It was poor parental judgement.

4Very Cute, A little Small.
By Carrie
We bought this for my 18 month old for christmas. It is very cute and she loves it. The reason I did not give it a 5 is because it is a little smaller than I had pictured, even though I had the measurements, and the door falls off pretty easy. Still, she loves it and it was less expensive than the other playhouses!

3Ok - but CHEAP!
By Barbra Barnes
I was so excited when I ordered this. But, when I got it I was surprised at how cheap it was. I have many Step 2 products and they are all very durable and well constructed. This product is VERY thin plastic, you have to punch the holes through the plastic to screw the pieces on and then they never tighten because they have nothing to tighten to. My 2 year old LOVES it, especially the doorbell, but given the opportunity, I wouldn't buy it. I am disappointed to have spent $100 on this.
