Boar bristle tufts: This material has the highest reputation for polishing and maintaining normal hair. Natural boar bristles are constructed like your own hair shafts and able to hold moisture - the better to lift away dirt and dust and distribute the natural oil from scalp. This brush is ideal for normal, fine or damaged hair. Mason Pearson have established a unique reputation for hairbrushes. The reason for this is partly in the design and partly in the versatility of the brushes. The design consists of unique spired tufts of boar bristle, or nylon, or bristle-and-nylon mixture, set in a pneumatic pad so that every tuft penetrates right through to the scalp. In addition the materials are first-class. Mason Pearson brushes are made in different sizes, materials, and colors, at a wide range of prices. There is one for every type of hair.

4Worth it?
By rennie
I was so hesitant about purchasing this hair brush. I don't ever think I've spent over $10 on one! However, after reading several reviews on other websites, I decided to go ahead and do it. I have fine, long hair that is thinning, so I chose the sensitive bristle brush which is recommended for my hair type. This brush really does feel good on my head when I use it (like eyes rolling back in head good), and it is gentle with my hair. That being said, it doesn't remove tangles as well as my old brush. I found it does better when my hair is still a little wet after washing. It makes my hair look fuller, I'll give it points for that. Is it worth all that money? Depends on how you look at it. I was spending around $10 every couple years or so on a cheap made in China plastic bristle brush that was damaging my hair. This brush is more expensive, however it should last for at least 10 years or more with proper care and cleaning. I think so. And Amazon is the absolute BEST price I found it for, believe me I looked and looked before ordering! Bottom line, I do not regret buying this brush!
