Product Description

A Classic, time tested and proven design is now part of the SHOP FOX family of high quality woodworking products. This 42" long fence has easily replaceable side panels made of HDPE plastic, a tough abrasion resistant material that is smoother than Teflon. The fence body is heavy walled rectangular tubing for durability. A high visibility scale allows easy, precise and repeatable settings and the fine lined cursor can be mounted on either side of the fence body, depending on your preference. The fence locks positively into position with a cam-action lever, making one-handed fence adjustment a snap. The fence system comes with super heavy-duty front and rear rails which can be mounted on almost any size or brand of table or cabinet saw. Fence rails are epoxy painted for a long lasting finish. The fence can be lifted off the rails anywhere along its length for the ultimate in convenience. An optional extension table measuring 44" X 27" is also available to provide a large worktable surface. The extension table includes a leg kit which provides two 32" high adjustable legs to provide stable support for the saw and table assembly. The extension table is made entirely of hardwood plywood with a durable laminated surface.

4Shopfox G8826 Fence
By L. Van
I recently upgraded my Grizzly G1022Z 10" Contractor Style Table Saw with the purchase of the Shopfox G8826 Fence. The original was pretty good, but the Shopfox is hands down a better system. First, it is heavy. Ship weight is seventy-seven pounds and nearly all of it is steel. The rails are heavy angle iron and the box-tube the fence locks on is similarly built. The fence itself is very substantial. Since the fence locks only at the near end, the heavy materials make sense. The fence has no micro-adjustment (I wish it did) but moves very easily on nylon slides. The fence moves and aligns true with the table with virtually no shifting when locking it down. I immediately noted easier ripping and much less (very little) burning. The poly side panels are slick. On the con side, were two issues. First, the locking lever broke off in my hand the first time I engaged it and with no pressure. There was no apparent shipping damage to the lever. Grizzly provides the support and immediately shipped a replacement which I received in about five days. The second issue related tothe poly side panels. The two nearest mounting holes on the left side of the fence are drilled about 5/32nd of an inch too high leaving a gap between the poly and the table top. The right side poly is perfect. Grizzly tech support offered to replace the fence though I would have send mine back before they would ship another. I could see another two weeks go by, and I didn't want to invest time reinstalling my old fence system and reinstalling the Shopfox again later. After discussing it with their tech, I removed the left side poly, drilled new holes (not as simple as it sounds) counter sunk them and remounted it. It is now acceptable though I was peeved to have to do it.The bottom line is the fence is a great fence. Quality control was lacking in two instances. If I were doing this again, I would buy the same fence, but would buy it local, save $44 shipping and take it back if it has a problem.

3The fence is pretty good
By jason bellisle
Well I have to say that it was shipped in a timely manor and have one issue with this and that there is no way to adjust the fence 90 degrees to the table which really sucks you would think for the money it would of come with that.I should of probably spent the extra money to get a biesemeyer.I had a older shop fox fence W1411 which was cheaper and they still sell it at grizzly had an adjustment on it for that. The fence is built very well and matched right up to my saw without tapping new holes which was nice.I have tried readjusting the rails and still was off just a very little bit, but it was enough to aggravate me.I just thought of one more thing that bothers me is when you measure form the blade to the fence you have to adjust for the movement when you push the cam lock into place.Once I get the kinks out hopefully it will be a good fence.

3Good Fence bad cursor
By Nathan Boris
Very good fence well worth the cost, especially compared to B'meyer (which I also have). The biggest achilles heel is the mag. cursor and parallax. Almost everyone has complained about this thing for years but yet Shop Fox does not offer an option to replace it. The real option is to make your own or buy one from B'meyer and drill and tap new holes. Sad, a 50 cent piece of plastic destroys million dollor reputation - repeately year after year! That is good management!
