Product Description

Made to demanding specifications, these motors feature the same quality as the motors we install in our heavy-duty machines. All our motors are standard NEMA 56 frames and fit over 90% of the woodworking machinery on the market. If you have applications where dust, oil chip or other foreign particles are the norm rather than the exception, you should use the Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled Motors (ENCLOSED). By popular demand, we have added the Open Drip Proof Motors (OPEN). These high quality motors are excellent replacement motors for use in relatively clean environments. Ideal for drill presses fan and bench machinery, all motors are dual voltage (110/220V) capacitor start. They feature standard NEMA 56 frames, all ball bearing construction, reversible rotation, 5/8" shafts, and are rated for continuous duty. 5Great Table Saw Motor
By MadtownGBP
Replaced the motor for my old craftsman 100. The old one was 3/4hp and got bogged down with hard woods (walnut). This motor with a good 24 tooth blade is great! I am using it a 3450 RPMs - I matched the pulley size on motor with the pully size on my blade arbor. I would not run any faster than that - you will get burns. The 1-1/2 HP is nice muscle to have for a contractor table saw. My old saw is 50 years old, but runs like brand new. Also, bought a Powertwist V-belt - now the old girl runs like a champ.

5Strong motor
By HJS
My 30+ year old Craftsman table saw, advertised at the time, as 1HP and developing 3HP, has always bogged down on ripping thick material, especially with a smooth cut blade. I upgrade to this 1 1/2 HP Grizzly for a little more power. I tested the original motor ripping a 6 inch pressure treated board with a 80 tooth blade. It bogged completely down about 5 inches into the cut with mild to moderate feed. The Grizzly motor never slowed or labored with more rapid feed. The additional power is quite significant. The wiring diagram is on their website and is worth printing. The motor itself is well built and substantially heavier than my original. It was a great upgrade.

5Easy to mount
By Merlin Perkins
This product is advertised as a replacement for my old Craftsman table saw motor, and they are correct! Had no trouble in mounting this motor on my Craftsman table saw. Has a lot more power than my old 1 horse. Doesn't slow down a bit going through some tough wood. Great value for the money, a " Best Buy".
