Torch worth having

I was needing a torch to use in my home garage. Nothing major, just some light to medium duty stuff. At my Barn I have a Victor Journeyman which I have had for years, never any trouble. The torch came really fast, upon opening the box the attatchments were all over. The plastic box is not all that, but that is not what i am reviewing. The regulators feel solid there is no rattle the threads are correct, and first time hook up there were no leaks. Hoses are plenty long for use in home shop. The torch handle and cutting head feel real good in my hands. There are checkvalves and all the bells and whistle you would expect from a high dollar torch kit. For someone looking for a very good quality torch for the money. I would say this is the best bet for the dollar. I would recommend it to anyone, and have.

The torch came with almost every thing needed; just add the gas, and it works well for me. I've used it cutting and welding on my equipment. Parts fit together good, the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was that, I had to buy an adapter, so the acetylene gage would fit the tank.

Like all CH equipment the torch, heads,gauges,and hoses are A1 quality. The kit even comes with a rosebud head which the other top name brands don't include. I have used a lot of torch's in my life and this equipment can hold it's own against the best.Now the" not so good" part-------- The accessories are cheap and have no business in this kit. The striker is so cheaply made it broke on the first strike! The goggles are the seperate eye piece type and are useless if you ware glasses and the tip cleaner I didn't use for fear the stems would brake off in the tips. I would highly recommend The torch equipment to anyone, but you would be better off to buy the accessories seperate. Mike from Wi..
