Mission Style Table Lamp

I ordered this lamp for my husband's birthday. We both love the lamp. Solid wood, metal and glass construction. Truly a quality product. The lamp is beautiful when on or off. Picture does not do it justice. The nightlite in the body of the lamp is nice for a little ambient lighting. I am considering purchasing another one myself.

The shipping of this product from one of the coast of the USA to the other I think was reason this was packed so well to absorb any high energy jolts during shipping. Completely encased in styrofoam made unpacking this a subsequent vacuum job.Once assembled and with one of the new style bulbs this looked foreign in my living room. I've had a pair of very nice mohagony conical lamps with brushed nickel and those and this I didn't feel would would mix so well but this lamp gave off, with same bulb as the other one a much warmer feeling light. My initial displeasure with this lamp (the felt footings, one was missing so out of the box I had a wobbly lamp, could not believe a lamp for this price I was experiencing this...)As a woodsmith I noted some glue seamm spots that prevented a clean stain and seeing that is always distracting. As you won't regularly be looking that closely at the lamp (that will be captured by the glass and wire work) this lamp quickly warmed me over. One reveiw noted the bulbs can be seen benath the shade but it doesn't bother me at all anymore.What's most impressive to me about this lamp is the lighting, the effect of the what in general sense seems a mother of pearl large piece, two on each side with the finer assemply of mirror inage patterns is real nice glow of a light. I can't imagine it's not a common observation and perhaps what they were aiming at with the design of this light, a rich warm light glow. I haven't tried this with two bulbs on yet but I expect it won't steer thigns south, I expect it will only be better.I'm certatin this lamp would warm over on anyone and would enjoy its rich look and the incredible (to me) light it's able to cast. I'm glad I picked this up even if I have to fix the footings (what did come on did like kinda cheap so I'll make lemonade and redo them with better, more fitting solution.

All the specs for this lamp were perfectly described. It fit perfectly with the MIssion style sofa table we also ordered from Amazon. I especially like the 3 light features: one bulb on each side of the lamp and the night light. It looks spectacular behind our sofa and has become a beautiful new feature for our home.
