Awesome Fixture

The hubby and I were having the guest bath remodelled. We were going for modern, zen, but the bathroom is quite dark. This fixture adds just the right touch of modern and the halogen bulbs give us LOTS of light. It's wonderful to actually see our new, remodelled bath. This is a great looking fixture and a good value.

changed this out when we remodeled the bathroom. wife used to complain about not enough light--she complains no more! we have this fixture on a dimmer and it works nicely. (the Lutron dimmer switch is excellent as well, highly recommended. Big toggle switch, little dimmer slider, glows at night.)One note, the bulbs give off A LOT of heat. In winter, this is nice because it helps heat up our small bathroom. In August, after twenty minutes on, the room is starting to get uncomfortably warm.:)

Light is constructed so that you can see the bulbs and the wiring from below. Causes terrible glare.Read suggestion of another reviewer on another site.and we too had a frosted glass insert made ( one straight side/edge about 24 inches long and the other side/edge cut to match the curvature of the checkered glass. Laid the glass along the chrome base . This covers the gap and the exposed bulbs and wires. Result was terrific- nice diffuse light. Very attractive fixture. Recommend you get the glass insert made before installation of the light so the glass cutter can cut the glass to fit well.
