5Great Anchor!
By Martin T. Engelmann
After loosing a fluke anchor to the bottom of a lake and being disappointed with a mushroom style anchor, I tried this anchor. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this anchor performs. I have a 20 foot ski boat and this anchor holds it in high winds and a barrage of boat wakes. It's also pretty easy to dislodge this anchor when it becomes stuck on an object below. The slip-ring really works. My other boating friends always comment on how well my boat stays on the hook. I also play out plenty of rode and use 6' of heavy chain.

5Holds well in the various bottoms of Eastern Long Island, NY
By Scrappy
I have dropped anchor in sand, mixed bottom, gravel, mud, and large rocky bottoms, and it always holds. I was very skeptical of this anchor when I first bought since I always bought the traditional Danforth anchors with the large flukes. I wanted something compact that would also hold in rocks, and so I went for it. I joined it to 5' of 3/8" yellow coated chain for extra holding power. What a great anchor. I do a lot of fishing and that entails anchoring in waters with a lot of current (up to 2kts, but generally less than 1-1/2kts). It has always held in whatever bottom I dropped in on. For reference purposes, I use this on a 15' inboard Boston whaler with a hull weight of 850lbs.With a larger boat I'm not sure if it would have the same results, but I'm willing to be it would provide enough holding power for a vessel up-to 18 feet. A great anchor, a great design, and it comes highly recommended from a professional mariner/fisherman.

5working great!

Held the boat in place on Lake of Ozarks with various bottoms. Anchor sets and comes off the bottom very easy. I have a 5ft chain attached to the anchor so the rope won't get cut on anything. I used to have a mushroom and and a grappling anchor but this one beats them both. Its a bit pricey but I think its worth the investment if you are a serious fishermen or a boat owner.
