Fantasy Figure!

Not too much is known about Paine except that she is apparently an original member of the Kammone clan. She replaces Tidus with the traditional sword role and is said to have an introverted personality and work better in the darker arts such as a black mage. FFX-2 developer Kazushige Nojima has described her as kind of a female Squall.This figure looks better in real life than in the pics. It stands 7" tall and includes a set of extra hands. The packaging looks great and the detail, craftsmanship and quality are superb. This version has 16 points of articulation.A must have for all Square Soft, Final Fantasy and anime collectors. A limited edition so get yours while you can!

Wow, what an awesome figure!

This figure of Paine is great in that the face and body proportions look just like the designs by video game artist Tetsuya Nomura. The face sculpt is very elegant and the costume is full of detail. Her hairstyle is a type that could have been easily messed up, but it is pulled off very, very nicely here.Articulation is also excellent, although she could have used a ball-jointed head/neck like the her pals, Yuna and Rikku. Paine is slightly tipsy, but she can still stand well enough on her own without using her display stand.For accessories, Paine has a big cool sword, but it comes attached to an extra hand, so that you have to change hands for her to hold the weapon. I would have preferred a design where the weapon could be directly placed into and removed from the hands. However, the non-weapon hands are sculpted in a cool gesture.Paine is listed here on Amazon at a terrific value. I highly recommend this figure and while you're at it, get Rikku and Yuna too!

Other reviews have clearly covered the physical details, so there is little than I can add. However, as a gamer who fell in love the Paine image, the action figure brings something from the Spiran world and adds to reality. Instead of having to focus on the game, you can look at the intricate detail of her main design in 3-D /and/ touch it. The joints are a little awkward, but beyond that its fine to add to a collection.
