Great varmint scope

Topped my Remington 700 LVSF in .17 Rem. with one of these, and for varminting, it's a tough act to follow. The crosshairs are extremely fine, which is a must when shooting praire dogs at 300 or 400 yards (a standard duplex will completely cover them). They are so fine that they're sometimes washed out on the background-which is where the dot comes in. This scope has held zero, despite taking some bumps, since my .17 is the one I actually move around with. Only downside is twilight or trying to use it with artificial light; The crosshairs are just too fine. If you like to spotlight predators, I'd suggest an illuminated duplex. But for daytime varminting, the V-16 is a whole lot of scope for the money.
