5Works Good

I had to "dremel" the back edge of both grips to keep it from cutting into my hand, but the laser works good.

5Kahr MK9 Tracer Grips
By 68 Hemi GTX
Well I bit he bullet and decided to give these grips a try and they were as advertized excellent! They came in a well packaged box and fit perfectly. As for aim they were just about spot on right out of the box. And the laser is as bright as can be and can even be seen fairly well in daylight applications. For any of you thinking about this product I say go for it as I feel you will be more than pleased with the product.

2Crimson Trace
By James Cannady
I have owned several criminal trace laser products and I have been satisfied with all of them. Until now. While the concept of a grip mounted laser is great, this particular model has a couple of problems. First, when you install the batteries in the grips the covers that come with the laser no longer click into place. Since the MK40 has a large opening in the grip to reduce weight this means that after firing a few rounds the battery covers come loose and the laser light turns on and off at random. Very annoying. I sent the grips back to crimson trace twice but each replacement did exactly the same thing. I largely solved the problem by taping the covers in place, but should I really have to do that? A little quality control would be appreciated. The second issue is that part of the laser light strikes the end of the take-down lever that extends out the right side of the gun. There is still a red dot, but there is also some smearing of the light. Did crimson trace have an accurate model of the MK40 when designing the laser? Doesn't look like it.All in all it's better than a clunky front mounted laser, but just barely.
