4nice scope
By acc13
Found this scope based on some reviews from ChuckHawks.com - you can find some good recommendations there for scopes ranging from cheap to untouchable.Mounted on a rimfire range/target rifle.Scope is handsome, solidly built, and as precise as I need for 50ft-100yds rimfire.Image is clear and the correct eye-relief is easy to find.Repeatable adjustments through the short click range I tried; but I didn't do the box test through full range of the scope clicks since it's a pain to do w/ no parallax adjustment and focusing down to 50ft range takes a lot of adjusting (the threads are very fine)I just zeroed it and left it. It's not the kind of scope that you'd want to be be fiddling with all the time.Been pretty solid and the zero hasn't budged; but I haven't stressed it beyond the recoil of .22 lr.Flip up lens covers is a plus.Covers can be rotated (I like them to flip down out of the way).Things this scope is missing: no resettable zero or zero stop, I wanted target turrets instead of hunter but they're not available with this model, and no parallax adjustment.1/4 moa click adjustments - would have been nice if the turrets and the ranging reticle were on the same system (both moa or both mil-dot), but that appears to be pretty rare. Practically, it makes no difference: adjusting in moa and ranging in mil dot are both easy to learn.Keep in mind that the mil dots are on the front focal plan, so milling for distance only works on the highest magnification (the owner's manual gives no guidance whatsoever on this).Overall, good quality glass for the money.

4You Get What You Pay For?
By Notagoodshot
Have a friend who purchased a Sightron scope for his 30/30. He kept on bragging about how great it was etc and then to prove the point killed two nice muleys the last couple years. Before buying I read the reviews of others and found them to be informative and hopeful. Had it boresighted which guarenteed me to " hit the paint " at 25 yards and indeed it did. I can already see some guys seething but look at the pen name. The range master gave me some pointers and I soon had it zeroed in but just wasn't quite satisfied and strongarmed my hunting partner to get into the woods. We set up three targets one at fifty yards, another at 100 yards, and the last a little further back. Somehow I was chosen to shoot first, look at the pen name, found myself a rest and squeezed one off at 50 yards. You cannot imagine my suprise to find a bullet hole in a half dollar sized bullseye. The next shot was at 100 yards. Once again on the rest and SHAZAM a bullet hole 1 inch above the bull! This all was satisfying but for me I pushed it a little further and spent another eighteen rounds. All the shots were in the paint shooting WITHOUT a rest. Am I satisfied with this scope? Let's just say if I shoot at a deer and miss, it won't be the fault of either scope or rifle.12/05/12 I didn't miss!!
