Very realistic toy with great educational interest

I recently offered this LEGO box to a family member.This model replicates many features found on real vehicles, such as directional control of the front wheels coupled with shock absorbers, differential rear wheels, engine with moving pistons, and more. As such it is probably one of the most educative toys out there, and a great introduction to mechanic. The assembly notice is of very high quality, making the assembly within reach of anyone aged 8-9+.After the initial model has been built, the fun consists in creating one's own models, although to do so effectively requires a larger set of pieces, e.g. by combining other similar LEGO boxes.

The Lego 4WD is a superbly detailed and fun set. The truck features a steering system (by means of the knob on the top), great suspension, a differential system on the back wheels, and pistons that pump when the back wheels are spinning (this uses an extremely ingenious use of gears and other unique pieces.) Also, there is a winch located on the front and a small crane on the back. Even with all of the positives I have two problems. No driver. Luckily I have my own technic sized person to drive, but I think that Lego should have included one. Also, the winch on the front is mostly for show as it doesn't really pull the vehicle very well. The instructions are pretty big, and sometimes hard to follow. Be sure to pay close attention. I had to go back multiple times to put in pieces that I had missed. I give this awesome vehicle a big five stars and recommend it to any car and/or Lego fan.

This 4WD vehicle has built-in engine piston structure, gear pulley, spring suspension, and can travel on any uneven surface easily. Highly recommended for mechanics and 4WD enthusiasts.
