5Spin your way to fun!
By Guinevere Cuthbert
I purchased the Dizzy Disc Jr in 2000 for my then 3 yr old daughter, because she loves to spin around and get dizzy, but never liked the Sit'n'spin. The box says for ages 5 and up, but in reviews I read on other websites, kids age 2 and up were using it with no problem, and it only took my daughter a few hours to figure out how to get it to move on her own.

The toy basically looks like a glorified Lazy Susan (one of those spinning things to serve foods or condiments on), and can be used by anyone up to 150 lbs. Kids can sit, kneel, lie, or stand on the toy, and make it spin by shifting their weight. The top of the Dizzy Disc Jr can sit flat, for beginners, or be angled to various degrees to change the level of difficulty. The disc runs on kid power, so there are only ball bearings (which can get a bit noisy) and no batteries, which is a big plus in this house.

The only thing I don't like about this toy is that most adults are too heavy to use it, because I've had to chase more than one family friend, or even casual visitors, off of the toy for fear it would break. I'm lucky enough to be under the 150 lb weight limit on the toy, and can attest that they need to make a Dizzy Disc Sr for adults, because nobody should miss out on the fun!

This toy is definitely worth the price, because it can be used for years. We have had this toy for over three years now, and it is still played with almost daily by one of my three children, ranging from age 1 - 6 (almost all of the parent reviews I read online before deciding to purchase the Dizzy Disc Jr talked about how durable it is), and is fun for almost all age groups.

5dizzy disc jr
By A Customer
I am the mother of a 4 year old autistic child and when I was doing some research on the subject and what I could do to help my son with his need to spin things , I came across some information about The Dizzy Disk and it's ability to help children like my son. So I decided to purchase one for my son and it is money well spent, because I can see the difference im my son, and he loves it and he cannot wait to get home to get on The Dizzy Disc. I would recommend The Dizzy Disc to any parent whose child has been diagnosed with autism and who constantly spins any items because it does wonders to stimulate that need to give them that balance that needs to be adressed. Thank You, Minerva Wilkes and Darrion Wilkes.

5Still love it after all these years
By E. M. Lorenzo
My daughter has loved to spin since before she could walk. We got the Dizzy Disc about 11-12 years ago and she STILL loves it and uses it daily. It has been interesting to read these posts about the need for movement because she comments that she gets jittery and anxious and that the Dizzy Disc eliminates that uncomfortable feel. Maybe she has some unidentified sensory issues - and maybe it will give her more patience with her brother's sensory issues!Besides the enjoyment and apparent need it fills, it is extremely well made and durable. I've spent over a $100 on many other toys that have not been used as frequently or lasted nearly this long.
