The Sealand 510+ ceramic Low Flush Toilet flushes with as little as one pint of water! Sealand 510 really works

I converted my 1976 house to Sealand 510 toilets starting in 2000 with one toilet. It works great! Because I live on a well, my electrical costs have also gone down due to less water being pumped. Yes, I've had some guests confused initially but they eventually see the foot pedal which is more hygenic than touching a regular flush handle. There's a nice diagram on the upraised lid that explains that you can add more water by lifting (with your foot) the flush pedal - that's useful for cleaning purposes. I have used 7th Generation and other recycled toilet tissue without problems with my septic system. There might be some times I need to flush multiple times but even if I flushed 20 times it would be no worse than a 2.5 gallon low-flush toilet! The ceramic base and regular height met my wife's requirements. You no longer have a place to put tissue boxes or decorative items as there's no flat surface other than the closed lid but that's a minor drawback. It's a great idea for really small bathrooms. I didn't get the "hand spray hose" option but I suppose I'd consider it if I ever purchase another unit.I've had three toilets installed so far without the hand spray option without problems.
