4Grizzly 4x6" swivel head band saw
By Dave Dennison
Overall this is a very good unit. There was a problem with the packaging of the panals for the base. They were in plastic bags and in shipping some minor damage to paint was present. Also when the base panals were painted none of the tapped holes were protected from paint. If a person uses the proper blade, speed, feed this machine does a great job. Very good results, one thing I wish it had is a coolant pan and return to the pump. Also came pre-wired for 110 volts can be changed to 220 single phase.

By Angelo Lattuca
I DID EXTENSIVE SHOPPING BEFORE CHOOSING THE GRIZZLY.IT IS MADE IN CHINA.IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A "MADE IN THE USA" SAW THE PRICEWILL JUMP UP TO OVER $2000.00. FOR HANDYMAN USE OR FARM USETHIS SAW WILL BE OK. EVERY ONE IN THIS PRICE RANGE WILL BE FORIEGN MADE.ACTUALLY EVERY BRAND I LOOKED AT, FROM CRAFTSMAN TO JET TO HARBOR FREIGHT, LOOKS LIKE THE SAME EXACT MODEL.THE GRIZZLY WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND THE QUALITY IS DECENT.THE JAWS WILL HOLD 6 INCH MATERIAL AND THE HYDRAULIC ASSISTIS A NICE FEATURE.THE CUTS ARE CRISP AND PRETTY ACCURATE.IT HAS WHEELS, BUT IS NOT VERY MOBILE

4Good value - after 4 years I would buy again
By G. Conway
I've had this bandsaw for 4 years using it lightly on weekends. Turns out to be one of the most important metal working tools to have. Rated 5" x 6" it will actually cut almost 7" of flat stock -the clearance on mine is right on 7". Without question it cuts great every time. The only blade I broke was replaced by Grizzly at no cost as it broke at the weld. It is very easy to get a feel for how hard the machine is working, to know how fast to lower the blade and what speed to use. Coolant is messy so I don't use it, instead I cut a good bit slower than one could with coolant.I do however have two complaints - my first is that the blade roller guides are difficult to adjust. To set the height of the back of the blade bearings required a 13mm wrench that when used hits the side bearing adjustment nuts. You can see this in pictures in the manual [...].It makes this fortunately infrequent adjustment tedious - but it does work. These guide fittings are also quite a sloppy fit (ISO9001??) such that you need to set the blade vertical by eye by tilting the guide while carefully avoiding knocking the side bearing nuts.My second complaint is that while the auto stop lever does work it requires lifting the blade very high in order to provide enough space to turn the switch on. I reworked the shape of the bracket but it helped little and in practice I don't use the auto stop. But I could slip it back on easily enough.Overall for my use it is a very good saw, and I expect I would buy it again. The hydraulic lowering device works beautifully and consistently and the swivel head feature would be hard to do without.I would however eagerly compare with other saws in this price range just in case. I must say I have 4 large woodworking machines plus a metalworking mill and lathe from Grizzly each of which I carefully compared with machines costing sometimes 2-3 times as much. In each case I have been really happy with Grizzly product.
