Beautiful Lamp ... but

The shade isn't glass ... it's plastic. Still ... the base is lovely, good quality and heavy. If one wanted to you could replace the shade.In the end I am crazy about this lamp. Puts off a mellow glow from the amber shade if you use the correct bulb.
