JL E4300 (great sound quality)

JL Audio e Series e4300 - Amplifier - 4-channel I am have been doing basic installs as a hobby for aprox. 20 years. I purchased this amp used at around $140. My goal was to get a excellent sound quality at minimal dollars and watts. Below 500watt amp means minimal current draw from my stock battery and altinator. I purchased it to power (4) 5.25 Memphis Power Ref. coaxil mids. and (1) JL Audio 12wo sub. I ran two channels in sterio(one to left channels, one to the right channels)to the highs. I ran the other two channels mono at 4ohms at 150 watts. This the exact RMS watt required to run a JL 12wo woofer. The sub is in a ported JL spec. box. Sounds like I have an expensive set ear buds on listening to my IPOD TOUCH. For a three hundred watt system, I could not ask for more. Suggestion, if useing for a sub I recommend a (1)JL 12wo, JL 12wx, JL 12w1 or a low powered sub like entry level pioneer or MTX (Need one 4ohm woofer or dual 2ohm). There is a port for a 12db remote control knob model RBC-1. This knob controls 12db boost NOT A GAIN CONTROLER. I don't recommend knob! THIS AMP IS NOT DESIGNED FOR A SUB AMP. I don't recommend multiple subs on this amp. However for a high end amp or simular configuration above. YOUR GOING TO GET ALL YOUR MONEYS WORTH. GREAT BUY!
