4Nady CBM40 is a hot value
By Mark Zbylut
The Astatic mic my church was using headed for the last round-up. So I volunteered to replace it. This is what I purchased and love it. The mic is sitting on a marble alter in a church prone to feedback and standing waves. The old Astatic was the main culprit. The pick-up dome is more sensitive and has greater rejection than the former mic. Now I can back off the gain and the mass can still be heard. The rubber base does a much better job of uncoupling, although I may still put another mouse pad underneath it. Like all of Nady's line it is a super star on a hobo's budget. I gave it 4 stars not because of anything wrong but it just isn't quite the equal of any $300.00 Crown. If you need a good mic and need to pinch pennies buy this and you won't be sorry.

4Run with the big dogs.
By Wilbur Lidzy
I was leary to try this, even though there was one good review. I agree that this is not the equal of the $300 PZM but it can perform. The pictures don't do it justice. Looks like a toy but in your hand the weight is sufficient to keep the mic in place. I rated it 4 stars as I felt the included cable was a little light weight. Other than that our tests showed even pickup throughout the 110 degree arc. There was dropoff beyond the 110 arc and hardly any pickup at 180 degrees. Distance range was good for the 15 feet that we had on the stage. Just ordered 2 more today.

5Boundary Mike
By Lee Buchschacher
The Mike work's fine. The bug problem was that no where dud it say in the write up that you also have to but a phantom power source. I had to call the manufacturer and ask why the Mike didn't work.
